Donations up Front ???

I've never done it, been asked to do it, and will probably never do it...

I'm relatively new to this, and I have seen providers that request partial donations up front. I know there are reasons that this practice is done, but how can a person know this is legit and not a scam...? I would be very uncomfortable doing this.

Anyone care to shed some light on this one...?

I have been doing this a while and most reputable providers dont ask for it till the end of session. If they do ask for it up front you can look forward to a soso to bad session . just my experience .

I never ask upfront...but I will make sure you have left it somewhere before you get out the door...I own an attack cat...lol!!!

Ooooops, I told you I was new at this... I meant up front as in advance of the day of the service being provided, as in wiring the money, or sending it by credit card.

I have seen some ads for longer hours of service that request this...

A hobbiests reputation can also help in NOT being asked for it upfront. Another good reason to not present it up front, or even talk about money is the ever present LE fear. If there is no money exchanged, what illegal act was just done? NOTHING, because you didnt pay for anything.....then again, if it is a female LE person, chances are you would never get to that point anyways. lol

Just my thought on it.....I have never placed it upfront, probably never will...but then again, i'm not really hobbying much right now. But DAMN, I need to soon, havent been laid since July. LOL

Generally I have only seen that asked if the lady is being asked to travel (say, out of state) to see a guy. Then they will ask for half up front to make sure all travel cost are taken care of...just in case.

I am with Ivy as I have in the beginning traveled and paid for everything out of my pocket in the return of getting the money once I got there. NEVER happened. So if I were traveling to see you (as in a special request or we were going some place special) I would want to be sure I at least got the travel expenses taken care of.

I have also seen if ladies are touring they may asked for a deposit on the appt. I am not sure I would do that. (never say never)

As far as locals asking upfront I would say it is a scam.

And guys remember you are paying for our time and what 2 consenting adults do otherwise is just that.

Natale... that makes sense, I can see your point. I guess it would be up to me to do my homework, check the lady and her reviews... I would feel more comfortable with doing this with most of the ladies represented on New Orleans ECCIE.

Even when travelling I do not and will not send money to cover her expenses, if I am bringing her here I purchase her plane ticket. If we are leaving from here together I again purchase the plane ticket. The only problem with this scenario is I have to know the ladies real name in order to book her flight and accomodations. She does get asked for ID when boarding. I have not really had a problem as the lady I was to travel with knows me very well and trusts me. Point is I would not send cash or wire money, EVER for any reason, period. I will pay her expenses on my own, that way I stand less risk of being taken to the bank, although she can just not show and I am out of the plane ticket money, but cannot really see that happening because she gets no benefit.

On the side note of the issue of paying for session prior to it starting. Again another "NO" if I have to do this the session will not take place, I have enough of a reputation to not be required to lay an envelope down before starting. And it really does prevent any LE problems. I only see well reviewed ladies with a great reputation so this has really never been a problem.

I have never had a problem with clients not paying whether it was laid on the table before or after the session. Everyone is different. Most of us respectable providers will not have a problem with a client paying after a session. Besides, that is when they are more likely to tip a little too!

I went on two trips this year out of state to meet clients and both times they purchased the airline tickets. It did require them knowing my name to book them. But during the trips we did other activities that required my ID anyway. It was their responsibility to get me there. Nothing was exchanged prior to my arrival.

I do not think that you should be expected to pay anything PRIOR to meeting a provider. There is too much risk of being ripped off that way.

The only time I really make something of the money is when I get a bad vibe. Since I am to be dependent on what and how I feel when entering a session, I have been experienced enough to know when some one is a phony, even if they have passed some sort of screening. This is very rare. I will ask that person to leave before the session starts. There's a certain instinct that you have to develop to protect yourself from thieves, men who want to harm you, etc.

I suggest you read a lady's etiquette always before seeing her.

I dont mind prepaying at all. Booking overnights, its fairly convient to walk to an appointment and not have to carry wads of hundreds. Kinda nulifies the awkwardness of the exchange of money and her time. Deposit wise their is a hidden limit for me, but its based solely on her rates and the percentage of money I spending compared to the time I booked. A 50 % prepay is assinine to me unless she is very divinely fine, but 35 to 40 %......comparable to a plane ticket, drive time, or fine hotel stay seems reasonable, or her two hour rate if overnight.

But unless the lady was very reputable as most have been, Id never do it.

For traveling ladies its a must as they need security and incentive. But it very unrealistic for a provider on a 1st time meet to feel so inclined toward trusting a guy with her real name. It happens and has happened for me but I dont expect that. But it makes things much easier and safer for me. But if she is advertising a tour or is just local I wont prepay.

I am much more comfortable with a new person if they go ahead and TCB. I prefer to not go through a date with the thought running in the back of my mind "Make sure he takes care of it, make sure he takes care of it, make sure he takes care of it" It's a bummer.

As far as extended dates - yes, I prefer a Gdot reload for @ half. I don't want that much money around & most guys don't either. I also like to get it before we meet - even if it's just minutes before. I do not like to call and confirm amount and transfer in front of my date, but for that amount of $$ - I will.

Travel - always half. I book my own travel, transportation and hotel. I have had to cancel one time and sent back the whole deposit. I ate the money lost for cancelling flight etc.

I have several guys who bring the donation inside a card...very thoughtful!!!

I say "do whatever makes you & her feel comfortable"
