Default "Citizens Against Prostitution (CAP) ?"

Does anyone know whether such an organization exists nationwide; has a website; and in what cities it has chapters?

About the only thing I got from a Google search is a series of news articles about a CAP group in Tacoma, WA; it has been focusing on areas of high SW traffic, stating that such activity is a magnet for such crimes as drug dealing and assault.

I've seen almost no mention of CAP on this website. (Could I be using poor Search criteria?)

Have any of you had any run-ins with this group? (PM me.) I'm interested in any details from which I can get an idea who they've been targeting (SWs, clubs, parlors, indies, all of the above) and what methods they've been using.

PLEASE keep any replies on-topic!

(P.S. - I posed the same question yesterday in San Antonio - Coed Discussions, and so far have gotten one response: )

It seems that there are different 'types' of these in different cities, but it appears that there are no 'nationwide' ones, which I think is a good thing.

Some links that I found as well:

Citizens Against Trafficking : http://www.citizensagainsttraffickin...Home_Page.html

Citizens Against Prostitution: http://www.cityoftacoma.org/Page.aspx?cid=12934

Coalition Against Trafficking Women: http://www.catwinternational.org/

While some of these organizations are good, they are almost always against prostitution in any form and cannot identify a difference between trafficking and prostitution.

The ultimate aim of the feminazis is the supression of male sexuality. They will use heart reddening horror storys of trafficing to supress the hobby; "we need to protect children!!". This same tactic was used to make using a harmless weed a felony.

I can understand all the Sex slave stuff and minors but Seriously it's really not that common I've never met someone being coerced into the industry, although I know it's out there & should be stopped, but they should leave the 2 consenting adults who are doing no harm to themselves.

Maybe y'all didn't know, but we aren't actually the sickest bunch. There are people who tour to foreign lands for acts that are forbidden from being discussed by the guidelines.

There is also an expectation, whether hyperbole or not, that sex slaves will be brought in for the Super Bowl, and that the sick fucks will expect to find houses turned into brothels with banned topics for the week. I've been told by people who usually do their research quite well, that its a serious problem every Super Bowl.

One of the (IMO) best reasons for legalization of prostitution is to expose the traffickers. If the consensual adults catch wind of a domestic trafficking operation, they have one less major reason to fear from turning them in, self-incrimination is gone, other than the standard fears that come from exposing organized crime.

I have the idea that it is hard to know how common trafficking is, when prosecution of consenting adults is the focus of vice. It is appropriate to compare the practice of interrogating people for their immigration status on a stop; the police chiefs association in Arizona concluded it would lead to a worse policing problem, as illegal-looking people would shy from the police to provide information on crime. The same goes for trafficking vs. the consenting adults.

That being said, I'm sure you are right Britney Jaye; that there are people out there who probably do exaggerate the trafficking to actually attack this more socially acceptable hobby. Thanks for speaking up on the third rail; that's hot.

The reason why you will find groups like this is simple... local neighborhoods do not want AMPs / Strip clubs etc in their neighborhoods.

See over in Amsterdam they have the "red light district" where there is a 3-5 square mile area where massage parlors, brothels, and ladies can operate without fear from the cops since its all legal in this area.

Oddly enough, they need less cops to keep the trouble makers in line, have less sex crimes etc.... because they got it all in one area.

this one is brand new (registered a week ago) and not showing up in google yet but i bet it gets pretty good ranking for the key terms, sex traffickiing victims

http://www.sextraffickingvictims.org
dot com too

so the more awareness they bring to the victims, the better.
doncha think ?

btw, the children they save get prosecuted for prostitution and they go for tougher sentencing because they want to make sure she doesn't go back to prostitution when she gets out. .. then she's placed back into the family she was running away from.... and most likely getting raped by daddy .... think it would be difficult to turn a 14 year old into a prostitute if she didn't already have some practice with daddy. ... they say most of them are running from abusive homes, most of them are sexually abused.... so it not rocket science and putting her in jail is obviously not making her little girl dreams come true.

as horrible as being a child prostiutite has got to be, what if its the best life that has ever been available to her ? if she can run from home, whats stopping her from running from a pimp ? its not like i think its right, but i think further victimizing her is even more wrong.

there are so many people who want help, children are crying for help, she was probably one of them and when she couldnt get anyone to believe her, she ran away..... you hear this all the time.

but i haven't heard any of these rescued children saying "thanks mr policeman" ... maybe if someone came to her rescue when she was suffering from abuse in her home, she wouldn't have had to run away and become a prostitute to survive.

they do it the adult women too... i've heard from countless women in this business that they couldn't get the police to help them when they were getting the crap beat out of them by their husbands but as soon as her escort ad went up, ring ring, ring ring RESCUE MISSION CALLING

jackasses need to spend more time helping people who are asking for help

ridiculous
