So about a week ago I decided to be one of the few crazy people out there and buy a 3D tv. I have never been big into porn but after the first 3-4 friends that I talked about my TV with mentioned porn I decided to see if there was even a movie released. It turns out that Hustler just released "This Aint Avatar XXX" which is a porno parody of Avatar. I saw the trailor for it and it looks like one of the dumbest pornos ever, but I just blew a chunk of money on a new TV so I figured why not see what it looks like and order it.

I think I will get it at the end of this week or the begining of next week and I am oddly excited to get it. The reason I bought the TV is because the live football they show on espn3d can look incredible.

Also, when I was looking to see if there were any movies yet the "experts" said that you probably wouldnt have to deal with an arrant money shot since todays 3d is more about depth vs. the gimmicky stuff flying out at you.

I tend to believe it after seeing some stuff in 3d. 3D at its best makes it look like the stuff is happening right in front of you and that the screen is just the way into that world.

I dont know that it will become a craze by any means, but my interest is peaked because of how cheesy it looks and there is not a lot of 3d content yet so it gives me something to look forward too.

No doubt the real thing is better, but I just have a feeling this is going to be a trip. It also speaks to me because I am not a fan of science fiction, but I do love cheesy sci fi parodies.

I did mention football so it is on topic. Right now I can only get one college game a week in 3d, but parts of the game look incredible. Im really hoping they go nuts showing bowl games in 3d.

If they start to broadcast NFL games in 3d I will have to bring it up again. Unfortunately all I have now is one college game a week, starting in December NBA games, and a few IMAX movies. And of course the porn sometime late this week or early next week.

Quick update. I got the movie today and watched a little. It looks pretty good as for as realism goes. To be honest, watching some of it on at 58 inch tv was a little much when they were doing the bj scenes. There were no money shots squirting in your face so that was good.

It was pretty much as I expected it though. Dumb story, impressive picture/depth, and in its own way very entertaining. It is definitely something to experience.
