Good for you!

It is a great movie that makes you wonder if one has what it takes. Will you stand up and do the right thing or cowtow to authority and play along.

One segment of the movie was about how Tillman took a scrawny Mormon special-op under his wing in training. This kid and another were with him when they came under friendly fire. Listening to what Tillman told the kid when he started praying is priceless....................a nd after his death the scrawny kid was one of the few that would not distort how he was killed.

On a side note, PJ you did good on Real Time with Bill Maher last night.

I need to read the book about him. Jon Krakauer is a phenomenal author. Into the Wild and Into Thin Air are great works, I am sure his Pat Tillman book is great too. Need to get to Half Price Books and look for it.

I was a little disappointed with the Krakauer book on Pat Tillman. Doubly-so as I've enjoyed Krakauer's other works.

If you picked it up not knowing the first thing about Pat, I suppose it's ok. Krakauer is certainly a very good writer. But as somebody who had taken an interest in Tillman from his AZ State days through his death & the coverup, I found most of the book broke very little ground. I also didn't think it did much to reveal just who was responsible for the decision to create the cover story about his death.

I do plan to see the documentary but have not gotten to it as of yet. I've always thought Pat Tillman was an interesting guy...a unique character. I first read about him in an old issue of SI. He used to climb up into the light transoms over Sun Devil stadium to do his reading/studying.
