A horse by any other named is still a horse. If you have sex with a man you are gay, by definition. You can call it whatever you want, but its still the same thing.

Technically...(not that I care one way or another...labels, in general, are rubbish to me) in the above statement, what you're saying is if a man has sex with a woman...he is straight.
I think a lot of 'straight' guys would disagree, and say that you're only considered 'straight' if you're having sex with women, exclusively.
It goes both ways...

Homosexual: A person sexually attracted to persons of the same sex.
Heterosexual: A person sexually attracted to persons of the opposite sex. Or a person who has sexual relations with the opposite sex. Colloquially known as "straight."
so, Woo hoo!
I have sex with men and women...I guess that makes me gay AND straight at the same time...
Isn't life grand...

I disagree with your definition. But what does it matter? You are going to use whatever term you want.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Androge...ivity_syndrome

Besides sexual orientation or identity, gender is also a bit of a spectrum. THIS I find hilarious. Some of the most anti-gay are actually married to DUDES and they don't even know it. LOL

Anyway, the answer to the original question is: Bishop Eddie Long

Is that not still some form of casting judgment? Giving something a value/category to fit in?

So many people spend so much time worrying about what they are and are not. Are they straight, are they curious, are they bi, are they gay, are they try.....oh my LOL?

Why can't a person just say "Here is what I like to do or would like to try, and that is just what it is. Me being me."?

I am human like everyone else, with all our array of differences in every area of each of one of our lives. Yet there are those that have a need to stamp a label on everything so they can be for or against it instead of just letting it.....Be.

Interesting reponses that no one has addressed the double standard between bi men and bi women. I still don't understand why bi sexual people object to being called gay if labels don't matter to them? I play many sports, if someone calls me a "golfer" they are correct, even though I also play tennis. I only object if they call me a non-athlete. Is not denying what you are placing more judgement then the label?

I agree with TopNotch's suggestion of sexual fluididity. I think there is a continum of sexual activities. Does bestiality receive the same weight as foot fetish in the fetish world? Isn't it naive to think there are not categories and descriptions? I believe society veiws a married couple having sex missionary style in their home, differently then a 70 year old male having anal sex with an 18 year old male in the back of a video booth. Categories of behavior are not inherently a bad thing.

I just wanted to find out why there is a double standard between men and women being gay and others opionion on notion whether a man sucking cock or getting nailed in the ass by another dude is a gay activity?

Hopefully enlightment is just around the corner...at least we have a lively topic not politically motivated.

I'll start by saying(and it may just be my experience) I can't think of any guy I've met who openly considers himself 'bisexual', but would be offended if he was called 'gay'...Regardless...I highly doubt when people call you a 'golfer', they mean it in a derogatory way.
I think the objection to the labels is mostly due to the social stigma they carry.
Also, you will likely find not all 'bisexual' people are entirely apathetic of labels...On the contrary, many of them would actually prefer to NOT have one smacked on them at all...

OK, then that is the person who is bi/gay that is placing judgement on the word. Another example. If a woman has sex for money she is a prostitute. She may have sex with other people not for money, but she is still a prostitute. As the man is still a "john" even if he also has sex with a SO without paying money. Probably the provider does not like the term "prostitute" and the man may not like the term "john", but that does not make the label untrue just because the person does not like the term. That is their problem, their own judgement on the activity. If a person is dishonest and doesn't like being called a liar, then either quit being dishonest or accept yourself as a liar.

Why is being a "gay" a deragatory term? If you are, you are, just accept it for what you are or change your behavior. I'm an asshole, I've accepted it. Lol.

Actually, golfers are very indiscriminate about what hole they put it in. As long as it gets in the hole, that's all that matters. Even if they find a stick in the hole they want, they will remove it, toss it aside, and then take their own shot at the hole. Golfers have no room to talk about caring about which hole anyone puts anything in!

You are now comparing a behavior that someone chooses to(what most consider to be) an innate sexual preference...I think you are really reaching for comparisons...
My question is Why so set on sticking labels to people, anway?..
