Several gun battles reported in Matamoros; CBP temporarily closed bridges

Mexican authorities have confirmed several shootouts through the streets of Matamoros, while U.S. authorities confirmed the temporary closing of two international bridges.

The areas where the shootouts took place include Fraccionamiento Rio, Colonia Del Carmen, Colonia Jardin, which is near the Gateway International Bridge, Calle Sexta, Lauro Villar, which is near the Los Tomates Bridge or Veterans Bridge.

Full article at: http://www.brownsvilleherald.com/new...matamoros.html

Of Note:
Eclipse Men´s Club is on Sexta Street

Envidia Extreme Men’s Club is on Lauro Villar

Colonia Jardin is just across the Puerta Mexico International Bridge

These days it's just not a good idea to frequent the SC's.

Default Progresso Possibly

There was a big article in the san antonio express newspaper recently saying that progresso was now safe because the mexican marine force took over the town and ran all the cartels out. If that is true, there might be some action to be had there.

I walked across to Progresso a couple of years ago and turned right around and walked out. It was like a ghost town. Didn't appear to be any action to be had, i couldn't even find a taxi. So I just drove on over to Reynosa and got my freak on.
