I'm a bit surprised that no one has brought up Top Gun! I can still hear the music and the vibration from the first 10 minutes of that movie. Note, I am not a Tom Cruise fan in general, but the rest of the cast was great - especially Goose.

This past weekend I caught the last half of what I believe to be the best movie about WWII ever made, "Mrs. Miniver" with Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon.

And, of course, we can't forget the western genre. Last week I downloaded to my iPod "High Noon" with Gary Cooper and Grace Kelly. Probably the best western ever made, except, of course, for "Stagecoach", "Shane", and "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence".

As you can tell, if it is current I probably haven't seen it!!

I realize that you made your post on your first day here. This brings up a good point. Read the Forum Rules. Threads over 30 days old are not to be bumped. This one was over 1 year. Welcome aboard. Read the rules.

This one is done. If you want a movie thread, start a new one.
