Not really Charles. Many (most?) of us (including guys) have interacted with one or more members in real life. We might not swap social security numbers or mother's maiden names etc. but there is at least enough of an interaction that a couple of people could at least vouch us being real people. ("Yeah, that ATL, he's just as big of a horse's ass in real life as he is on the message board")

As DG mentioned a number of us were duped awhile back by the "Sensual Sisters" who in reality was probably some middle-aged man still living in his Mom's basement. I don't think anyone was out any $, etc. but you tend to take someone more seriously, even on a message board, if you know there is a legit person behind the avatar.

As for Alex, I asked the question more out of miild curiousity than anything else. If she wants to hide behind a fictional persona, more power to her. There are times when I'd like to be able to vent about my industry behind a false id.

I do think it is important that the one person/one account rule is maintained though...

Well to the OP's assertion, it's not an obsession, I think your giving yourself to much credit and need to keep the ego in check. I'm merely pointing out what I see as the obvious. Practically every post of yours is slightly interragatio in nature and usually without any meaningful followup. If indeed your not some bristly 30 year male hack writer goading the people of this forum for material, then what harm would it be in letting say Ansley or another known provider here verify your intent? I do have face time with other providers in Atlanta (as my stage name and even my real) but never as Alex. I seriously don't trust that my blog wouldn't become an issue that is ultimately used against me. And I do think I follow up. I find that at the very end of threads they sometimes don't even hit on the original subject. It is a little like playing telephone.
