I've certainly done it that way a few times in the past, but I never really liked the idea of meeting someone without any prior phone chat at all.

I like to get at least something of a sense of a lady's personality, even if we're just planning a 1-hour meeting!

Where I live, I'd also have to learn to speak Spanish...not that I'm against that--I've tried for years. My learning curve with foreign languages has long since passed.

An online persona does not have to actually represent real life, take me for example (Please Alex). Whilst I appear her to be a curmudgeonly English geezer who like the sound of his own voice too much; those who have met me know that I am actually a 380lb 33 year old living in his parents' basement in North Florida, where I split my time equally between posting on escort boards & working out new ways to scam money from BP.

So beware, all is not always as it seems.
