The MAP program in progressive/socialistic Travis County is difficult to be admitted to. However in Bexar county the CareLink program is run by the University of Texas Medical System and is easy to be admitted into.

If she were to establish an address and so forth in Bexar county this would be easier than applying for Medicaid.

CareLink is simple to apply for and the standard of care in that system is good.

I make no judgements about anyone receiving medical aid paid for by others, or the state, etc. given that the inequities in the medical system are so profound, so widespread, that anyone who fails to take advantage of what's available when everyone else is doing it is just foolish. Denying benefits to yourself that everyone else is freely taking will not solve anything for anyone. Speaking as someone who worked in Medicine for seven years, and as someone opposed to the recently passed Federal "reform," I can say that there will never be an affordable, equitable reformed system in the United States. Never.

For those of you watching.....

Although I can certainly afford to take the points to properly respond to Taylor Maiden in this thread, after being warned by Staff the other night, Staff that I am on record as stating I respect, to do so in the manner I desire would be disrespectful of them.

I cannot promise however how I may respond to her in the future when our path's cross in other threads as they so surely will. I'm known to OCCASIONALLY just react..... without considering what I am saying.... Rarely... but occasionally.

to all those ladies that have so graciously volunteered information via PM... I truly thank-you...... I knew there would be those of you in this community with similar experiences......

For the lady that wrote me a small book on the subject as well as your experiences..... I will get a response back to you shortly as well.... with as much thought in my response as you put in your writings....
