Considering changing my hobby name...

I have had some PM me and email me concerned that I will be looseing my 'brand' and what I am recognized for. Tiffany Cums is the name assocciated with a crazy girl who loves everything about Cum, where as a name like TabbysueGFE does not say this.

Opnions?

Would it be better for me to just 'clean house' and hide all of my face pics for a while? Put them behind a password on my site? Afterall, i am told that it is my name that everyone recognizes, and then it is my pics.

I think a lot of this depends on what your goal is. So far, I haven't heard you really identify the goal in all this. I follow the board pretty closely so I'll follow you no matter what your screen name is.

If you're trying to get away from the crazy girl who loves cum image, then maybe a change is in order. Although you might drop some gents who have definitely expressed an interest in doing doubles with you and Dallas.

If you're trying to be more exclusive and raise your rates, then changing your handle and having a slick website might help.

If you're trying to keep the gents you have and the same type of service, then I don't see the need for a change unless you think the name is a turnoff to potential gents.

In any event, your screen name is your identity in this biz. Only you can decide whether or not it needs to be changed.

Hiding pix on the Internet is not 100% because of all the Search bots that have stored the images that you can't reach. There are some programs that claim to wipe the archives but someone with more experience in that area will have to advise you on that.
One way out are multiple name changes say from TC to XY to GT using facial hiding techniques from XY on. That gets your work persona away from TC about as much as your going to be able to do it as well as the linkage to your face.
As CT said though, you need to think thru what you really want to accomplish here before you start changing things that are working for you now.

The idea of changing my name come from the fact a young family member (my teenage step son) caught a glimpse of my Rudepage, which is under the name CumOnTiffany. I'm not sure if he caught the name on the site...I was in the room with him when he pulled it up then clicked it off right away. He stumbled across the link in his dads history, so he didn't actually seek it out or search for it.
I don't want him finding out too ,much, but at the same time I don't know what he already knows.

After re-reading this thread, as well as the one I have posted in the Oklahoma section, and going back through some of my PMs and emails, I'm gonna say "FUCK IT!" I'm not being hunted down by LE, and even IF my step son did catch the name on the site, I doubt if he will say anything to anyone besides maybe a friend or two,

I like my name...I like the image with it and the 'type' it attracts. It's who I am more so then any other name. I'm keeping it. I have, however, already changed my name on Escorts.com and will keep it like it is. It's a much more public site and I have seen it show up on Google.

I have deleted as much of my porn online that I can find, but if you are wanting to see some, just let me know and bring a thumb drive to our meeting!

With that matter being settled, I feel much better. Thank you everyone for your input! I have came to the conclusion that I was overly concerned. Parental insitincts kicked in and over reacting went into overdrive. I am sure most of you know what that's like!

This is just my opinon but TabbySueGFE is a horrible name...like, really awful. However, I'm not your target audience so do your thing girl. I'm curious to see what you ultimately decide. I've been a fan of your posts for a while btw...they are so focused!

Well, thanks for your honesty! lol I liked the name...its what I had picked out both times I was pregnant, for a girls name, but both times I ended up with boys! But thankfully I decided to stick with what I have. I did change it on escorts.com though, I just wasn't comfortable leaving a site that public with a name that can easily be found.

I think you made the right call. You would have lost a lot of brand equity. Unless you have a really bad relationship, your stepson wouldn't tell people. But just know that he probably went back to the site later when you weren't around.
