Default when/where is it appropriate to share information?

I understand the rules regarding personal attacks, and they are there for a reason. However, when someone in the community has done more than a little damage to someone else, when and where is it appropriate to informative comunity as a whole? If there were someone killing dogs in my neighborhood, I would be sure to tell everyone so they could protect themselves. Despite the privacy in this world, there MUST be a venue to warn people of wrongdoing. If it were a hobbyist who had erred so egregiously, I do not believe such harsh actions would be taken to keep it quiet. However, since the person in question is a provider, there seems to be a rule that we can't try to protect ourselves. Please tell me how I, as a hobbyist, am supposed to watch out for my own well being if not by my community sharing the pertinant information? That doesnt mean all the dirty details, but rather just the basics to make informed decisions.

Greyhound, you would think so. But there seems to be a different standard in this case.

In more threads than one, although they have ALL been locked I feel that there were not enough responses allowed to help me make a judgment on whether or not to see said provider....

Seems that there is some protection going on here, and not enough information sharing....just my observation, of course....

Why is this conversation going on in like at least 3 threads. Enough already.

Just a question. Has this been discussed in the men's locker room? The ladies have our section where we share information on alerts, damage, and the like but not in a co-ed public forum where it leaves room for the WK's, the drama bringers, and the haters. Most of us know the people involved, even without naming names, and I can see the thread turning into a volatile exchange.

This includes me, before the other thread was shut down I was ready to politely rip into someone which honestly would have just served to piss other people off and wouldn't have been constructive in any way.

I think it's BS and just plain crappy the way things happened and it is not cool in any circumstance, but especially jealousy, hatred, or just pure meanness, to OUT anyone.

I've been trying to ignore these various threads that hint at some potential safety/security issue, but it's getting difficult to do so. I'm obviously "not in the loop", and have no clue as to what's going on. Should I be worried....?

I usually assume these things are a matter of personal issues between a couple individuals, and don't really concern me. But if an issue could affect the community as a whole, then appropriate FACTS should be shared. Isn't that the point of these forums?

If folks are reluctant to post info on the forums, then perhaps PMs could be used. Anyone care to PM me an update about what's going on?

I am with Littlejoe on this one except I (regrettably) commented on something that turned out to be of a shitstorm than just general conversation.

Brandy I thought about that but this is something that involves more than just those with Premium Access.

Guys If you dont know, it doesnt matter, just continue to keep both heads separated, and your heart out. And just take ppl for what they are, PERIOD! The story in question, although sux, does not fucking deserve the attention its drawn! The ones it involves and close to, dont give a FUCK! And there just a side note to something more important. (Seriously, they dont care) What goes around, comes around, always...

Even if the people it involves don't care (and I believe at least one of them does), it should be something the entire hobby community cares about. I don't think you can overstate the importance of an individual committing the cardinal sin of the provider/hobby relationship

Therefore, it does deserve the discussion time we're giving it, IMO.

Protection needs to go both ways. This can also be considered a lesson learned the hard way for everyone to know.

It is a lesson that I have learned and honestly it's sad sometimes. I've had feelings for clients, I've had clients have feelings for me. I never crossed the boundary though. Some have and it's worked out great but for the most part you have to consider "What if things go south?" With the nature of the business it can turn especially ugly.

Guess I would be a hopeless romantic and if both the provider and client had feelings for each other to think it worth taking the chance. Finding someone who cares about you no matter where you meet I think is worth some risk but it would need to be a mutual desire. In this hobby I think it somewhat natural given the nature of the intimate activities involved.

A lot depends on the people involved. Personally I think life is too short to stay sad, get mad or be vindictive. I let the other person waste their energy doing that. Wish all parties the best and thought I would throw my 1.5 cents in Have a happy 4th of July everyone.

That's the point of my question. I'm not necessarily "stirring the pot", but where is the line, and what are the consequences, if a provider steps way out of line? Are we to give them a free pass to do anything they want and get away with it? If a hobbyist steps out of line, they're banned, blacklisted, and are lucky to get a second look ever again. What recourse is there to providers who have done wrong (and I mean REALLY wrong)?

Recent events have brought these questions to mind, and I believe it's something we need to evaluate and decide upon. I'm not trying to start a witch hunt, or hold an iron rod above anyone who steps out of line, but is there a limit, and what is that limit?

I care and respect the individuals (the victims) request, and that is to pay it no mind. And honestly that would be good for both parties. This thread and ya'll inquiring about it is feeding the malice of the bad person and the actions. Like I said, keep it separated, that will work for everyone, and youll be fine there's really nothing that can be done. As someone who has fallen before and had girls fall for me I've been lucky they were amazing girls that I was lucky for their hearts. And ended up being considerate adults. Thats it for me, Ill never address this again. And hope yall who know me, trust me, there is nothing u could do. Let it die.

Greyhound I agree with you, 100% an action should take place. But this a good request at a whole and should be handled generally, its to close to home right now.

This effort will not help my friend....
