OK so, democrats want to give to the poor through the government from tax (I mean hey it's just easier to let the gov take care of it,) and republicans want to give from their own pockets because they know how to spend their money better than the gov?

I'm not really a republician. I think the repubs you guys hate are all fat cats. It's not capitalism you hate, it's crony capitalism. Do you realize alllll of us down here below the rank of delegate pretty much want the same thing? Why doesn't the third alternative apply here?

The concept goes: Man A wants the window open and man B wants it closed. Seems like there's only two options until you find out from each one what their end goal is. Man A would like the fresh air and Man B would like the breeze to NOT blow all his papers off the desk...

OK so how do we meet both requirements outside the cut and dried two choices..... How bout some curtains, so you still get the fresh air but not the destructive breeze. Or move the desk perhaps. We don't have to be so strict with the options. There's always a 3rd alternative.

Psst, WTF, just because they call it a "donation" doesn't mean your hooker is going to give you a tax receipt.

Like Man WTF throws a rock through the glass of that window, opening the window for Man A and providing a paper weight for Man B?

A pre-party anecdote: In 1776, Benjamin Franklin traveled with John Adams (later to become the second U.S. President) to meet British Admiral Lord Howe. They stopped at an inn in New Brunswick, New Jersey for the evening. Not only sharing the same room, but sharing the same bed, Franklin and Adams got into a furious argument.

The argument was not about politics, but something more important to them at the time--whether the window in the room should be open or closed. Adams wanted it closed for fear of catching a cold. Franklin wanted the window kept open, so he could breathe the healthy fresh air.

As Franklin argued about this arduously, Adams fell asleep. The window was left open.

Franklin is probably my favorite of the founding fathers. His personal charm was what got the French to finance the Revolutionary War.

Franklin said that beer was proof that God loves us.

I'm tired of that lie about ya'll giving more.

If you just gave the money and then did not write it off on your taxes, that would actually be giving. Paying less on your taxes because you gave to charity is actually having others have to pay more to make up the difference!

Now be a good lil Boy Scout and go deny a gay his/her rights.
YOU'RE SAYING GIVE IT TO CHARITY AND THEN GIVE THE SAME TO THE GOVERNMENT. YOU WOULD BE DOUBLE DIPPING YOUR OWN FUCKING SELF. I'VE HEARD LIBERALS SAY SOME DUMB SHIT AND THIS IS RIGHT UP THERE WITH THE DUMBEST.

The Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe, and Everything from the supercomputer, Deep Thought, specially built for this purpose. It takes Deep Thought 7½ million years to compute and check the answer, which turned out to be 42. The Ultimate Question itself is unknown.
