Exclamation Overcome

I think the point in Yssup's post was that the difference between the candidates would become more clear after the debates.

. . . Yes, after a good debate, you have seen clearly how each candidate reacts to a new set of problems and how quickly they can access another plan or another route, to overcome an obstacle.

See, MasterDickMuncher, even Fast Goon understood Yssup's post was about the presidential debates.

Exclamation Battleground States

Let's leave the obligatory insults aside for a minute.

I would like to know which are going to be the real battleground states.

I imagine Florida with 29 electoral votes is going to be one of them.

. . . What other states will be hotly contested?

You obviously nailed Florida. At this time it appears that Romney might be limiting funds going to Pa and Mich. If that holds true, Ohio is absolutely vital to Romney. If both Pa and Mich are truly in Obama's column, I do not believe there is a path to victory for Romney without taking both Florida and Ohio. On the other hand there is a narrow path to victory for Obama without Florida and Ohio but it would mean that Obama would have to take the remaining swing states.

The next 60 days will be very interesting.

Exclamation Battleground States

Right now, I would say that the major battleground states shaping up are

1. Florida - 29 electoral votes. Leaning Democrat one poll/Republican other poll
2. Ohio - 11 electoral votes. Leaning Democrat/ but slim lead.

I imagine there will be two or three other states come into the picture in the next 58 days before the election.

. . . Anybody care to guess which ones will matter the most?

Exclamation Must Win

I stand corrected.

Ohio does indeed have 18 electoral votes.

. . . This is a "must win" state for Romney, but President Obama still holds a slim lead.

Exclamation Electoral Map

According to this poll, President Obama needs 33 more electoral votes to win.

. . . Romney needs 64 with 95 tossup votes.

All BS aside, as it stands now the path to 270 electoral votes is much friendlier for Obama than Romney. We will recalculate the state by state count after the debates!

Meanwhile, I am going !!!!!

Those would be the next four, especially Wisconsin. But last I saw, Obama was up in the 5-10 range in those States. Romney even pulled his ads in Michigan. I'm not sure I'd put them in a list of competitive States right now in an election with so few undecided voters.

Right...a New York Times poll. They also called the election for Gore in 2000.

This will ruin someone's night. Romeny is beginning his offensive in Wisconsin. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Governm...-Electoral-Map

RCP has Obama up by only 1.4 % in Wisconsin. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epo...bama-1871.html

Uhhhhh, my night will be fine, I'm not so sure about yours. According to the RCP link you provided,(http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epo...bama-1871.html ) the 1.4% polling data was sampled between August 13-21

Yet you tried to pass it off as current data. Shame on you JD, you should be ashamed!

Do you always live in the past or was this a feeble attempt at slight of hand? In any event, JD was BUSTED once again!

Why don't you get in on the bet then? Put your money where your mouths are. Bet like Romney, 10k. I'd take that all day if I could figure out how to get you cheap bastards to pay!
