Default Fed Audit Reveals Secret Bailouts

It's time to drive a stake through the heart of this Creature From Jekyll Island.

From the article:

The list of institutions that received the most money from the Federal Reserve can be found on page 131 of the GAO Audit and are as follows..

Citigroup: $2.5 trillion ($2,500,000,000,000)
Morgan Stanley: $2.04 trillion ($2,040,000,000,000)
Merrill Lynch: $1.949 trillion ($1,949,000,000,000)
Bank of America: $1.344 trillion ($1,344,000,000,000)
Barclays PLC (United Kingdom): $868 billion ($868,000,000,000)
Bear Sterns: $853 billion ($853,000,000,000)
Goldman Sachs: $814 billion ($814,000,000,000)
Royal Bank of Scotland (UK): $541 billion ($541,000,000,000)
JP Morgan Chase: $391 billion ($391,000,000,000)
Deutsche Bank (Germany): $354 billion ($354,000,000,000)
UBS (Switzerland): $287 billion ($287,000,000,000)
Credit Suisse (Switzerland): $262 billion ($262,000,000,000)
Lehman Brothers: $183 billion ($183,000,000,000)
Bank of Scotland (United Kingdom): $181 billion ($181,000,000,000)
BNP Paribas (France): $175 billion ($175,000,000,000)
and many many more including banks in Belgium of all places

Much of this was "loaned" at 0% interest, and not much has been returned.

We need to End the Fed now!

You're delusional if you think it is only Republicans being bankrolled. The Democrats are just as bought and paid for as the Republicans.

That's why we need to quit voting for Democrats or Republicans. They are both owned by the same bankers and corporations.

I wish there was a 4-5 page explanation of the Fed, what it does and how the various QEs have altered its relationship between govt, banks and the public.

It was already known a couple of years back that the Fed "gave" huge amounts of money to its member banks with the secret instruction not to loan out the money to Joe Public. As one economist put it "It would be raining heavily but the rain would never hit the sidewalk."

What is really comical is that we still have people that think the Fed and the people they "bankroll" actually give a shit about Republican and Democrat.

Politics is just parlor games to keep the masses entertained.

EXACTLY! However, idiots like COF and others would vote against a Dem like Elizabeth Warren who is being HAMMERED by large corporate donations to her opponent Teapublican Scott Brown who will make sure the Consumer Protection Agency is rendered harmless and unable to stop more deregulation.

THE IDIOTS THINK IT'S ALL ABOUT THE FED when it is mega-corporations who simply buy whoever is in power and get them to relax the regulations. I'm not talking about $20 Million corporations who actually qualify as "small businesses. I'm talking about the Bains, the Exxons, the General Electrics and so on.

When will you people EVER learn?

By the way, COF, your article is OLD NEWS. These loans occurred right after the collapse under both Bush and Obama.

COF, do you READ anyone else's posts before you make an utter fool of yourself? Never mind. Your past posting history reveals you do not read much of what anyone says. You are too busy posting your incessant bullshit.

In THAT race, they are not able to buy Elizabeth Warren, IDIOT! They are only able to buy the Teapublican candidate, Scott Brown!
