Oops, my mistake. The Occupy Wallstreet people, who have nothing to do with anarchist or other radical left wingers, are planning on denying the GOP the right to have their convention in peace. Of course they are using the same tactics that they did in 2008.

Joe, my comment had nothing to do with liberal or conservative. I just found the comment amusing. It was more about the religeous zealots in the Republican party, and how both sides will try to interpret a huricane as a divine message--when in reality I suspect god doesn't send those kind of messages to either part's convention.

This is one of those areas I probably generalize a bit more than I should.

Many conservatives are very generous with their time and tallents. As are many liberals. But not all in either group. I just find that some of the Right Reverend Billy Bobs of the southern bible thumping variety are a lot louder about showing off their goodness and preaching, and therefore a lot bigger hypocrits when their actions don't follow their words. How many of the bible thumpers who were then caught in a sex scandle among the conservative fringe?

The thing that bothers me in general is the Thumpers are adamantly anti-abortion and claim that means any true christian must vote their way. But these same people are also pro-death penalty, pro-nuc, for cutting aid to needy folks in general, and for the most part are less willing to give people a second or thrid chance.

Now I actually agree with a lot of their views--contrary to what some on here think of me. But I find it very scrooge like for them to thing that being aligned with the bible on ONE issue means you can ignore that you take a biblical stance on other issues.
