From our friends up North comes an article which, I will admit, is a bit much for even me to believe. But since we've already had people post on this board that there are really no limits to what Obama can do, as long as it results in his re-election, could this be plausible?

And if you think government is too pure to ever turn on it's own people, google Operation Northwoods, MK Ultra and others.

I am not saying this article is true, or even likely. But it is plausible, and that is the most horrific thing about it.

JD, plausible or not? I'm not asking if you agree, or even think it is likely, but given your understanding of history, and the current (and past) administrations, is such a scenario plausible, or should it be rejected out of hand?

When you factor in the acquisition of ammunition by DHS and other departments, the questionable FEMA activities, and similar goings on, one can only wonder.

Serious question, JD. Likely, plausible, or ridiculous. I don't know. The author has at least the credibility of Harry Reid, who receives anonymous phone calls telling him things.

Plausible? Almost anything is plausible with enough speculation. Likely? A different thing all together. Your story teller spends for more time trying to prove he is serious that having any real evidence (speculation?) of a vast conspiracy. I need to see some meat before I act.

Is Obama complacent? Yes, I think he is but why? Does he really have an ace in the hole or is he just mentally unprepared for what is about to happen (rejection by the country)? I am starting to think that his rigidity is a mental problem. He has been raised in this environment and it is not possible for him to imagine the country rejecting his wise and benevolent leadership. I have always worried about his flying monkeys. They are more grounded in reality.

Is a black flag operation possible? Always but I still have hope that some people that would have to be involved would step back and refuse. If they can't stop the operation then they would tell the world somehow. That is why the truthers seem so idiotic. That of all the people that would have to be involved in 9/11 and no one, NO ONE, talked?

Race riots? We saw how the Trayvon Martin affair blew up in the face of the left and how quickly it went away. You can't have a revolution when your street fighters get tired after a week and go home to catch the real wives of New Jersey. Louis Farrakhan claims to be a muslim. Right or wrong there is still a lingering anger at muslims for 9/11. He will not get much traction in the press.

We have seen a few times where the right, majority, regular people, or whatever you want to call them have reacted peacefully, powerfully, and effectively against the left in modern times. The Tea Party, the Chik Fil A protest, where massive numbers of people were quickly organized to make a statement. I imagine most of those people are armed. If someone were so foolish to declare war on the people from the White House I think the lack of support from the police and the military would be a shock of freezing water.

To answer your question; a White House could believe they could try an insurrection but I believe it would quickly fail.

The Democrats made a black comedy movie about it "Wag the Dog" (1997).

I don't think it is so deep a conspiracy as the Canadian article paints.....and I think power hungry politicans are capable of it......I also think that in this day and age, it is a fools game, hard to keep covert, and harder to predict the ultimate outcomes...

Operation Northwoods...scares me. It reminds me of 9/11. I'm not trying to sound like another conspiracy theorist here. But in Operation Northwoods the CIA wanted to provoke "false terrorist attacks" here on American soil and then blame Cuba and Fidel Castro for them, so that the American government would declare war on Cuba.
