Judging by your wonderful reviews and your donation avg of about $$.5 per hr you should be able to buy a brand new Mac Book Pro in about 5 hrs worth of work time. Unless you can get a laptop for free or barter. Btw are you having tech issues or is it just dead?

WHYYYYY do I keep reading guys saying "your rate of" and "five hours of work time"?!!! Do you all not realize that five hours of work time doesn't happen in one week sometimes? Expenses of 100 for a hotel room a day, childcare, gas, parking, etc? The time put into advertising and talking to people for absolutely no reason because they just want to "get to know you".

I love Macbooks, but it sounds like you don't care and someone may have an old laptop hanging around. There are good back to school specials for pc laptops around this time of the year. You can get new one for 3-400 at Wal-Mart if you watch their weekly ads.

KatieKatie: I hear you sister. I am not a provider. My profession is well below escort on the social ladder, I'm an attorney. But it pisses me off hearing people whine how high attorney hourly rates are. They do not consider that we are probably only charging them about 1/2 the time we should be. Of course, I realize your rates promise a happy ending and my rates do not. I guess that is why we a lower on the social ladder. :-(

Krista, sorry to high jack your thread. I'm a smart ass but I really am trying . . . to continue being a smart ass.

1st you keep hearing guys say that because it's a lot of fucking money. I choose to pay providers that money of my own free will. I'm not angry at the OP for seeking assistance either. Did you see the part where I stated she could barter or even get on for free? And I'd you we're really trying to help why would you tell anyone to waste their money on some price of crap $400 laptop? Did you forget she's gonna need software too and lots of it including security software. How much does Bill Gates charge these days? So I apologize to the OP if I was out of line all I intended to do was let her know a kick ass laptop was not out of reach.

I have some laptops for sale if you are interested. One of them is a Dell Latitude E6420, which I think was manufactured at the begining of 2011. I'm selling it for $250.
Please PM me if you are interested. I can meet at a safe public place, like a fast food or a starbucks, for the buy.

OP an any other providers reading this:

Don't be afraid to start a barter thread in your local community.
There are some VERY KIND and GENEROUS hobbyists here who will help you if you let it be known.

Dallas has I think 4 frys stores, weekly frys ad that comes out on friday usually has a lenovo(ibm) laptop that will do anything you need for about $275 new

you DO NOT need an extended warranty or anything else but maybe a $10 wireless mouse

http://www.frys.com/ads/computer-tab...ks-accessories

this week the laptop is $268 and that is a good laptop that will do anything u need it to do
