I think that however trivial it may be...
The OP has a good point. Kudos for looking in every
Corner for something to give Mitt RobMe an edge .

Barack may need some plugs. Fuck sanity.

My father voted for Wallace in 1968 because Nixon promised to end the war and my father WANTED TO WIN IT. After Watergate my father was stridently pro-Nixon.

But on the night that public televsion re-enacted the "Watergate Tapes" my father became very sullen, and then retreated into his room.

I followed him and asked him what was wrong. He told me he had been wrong about Nixon. He could see from the tapes he wasn't the honorable guy he thought he had been.

Disillusionment.

Exclamation Nixon Angst

Nixon caused a lot of profound angst in most people throughout the country.

I remember even a popular song had the sentiment written into the lyrics.

"Now, Watergate does not bother me,

. . . tell me, does your conscience bother you! - Tell me true!"

In television and film "hair" is everything. A leading man must have exceptionally thick hair. Even young men are out of the business if their hair is fine, much less thin.

By this standard alone nominating anyone like Gingrich would be impossible. Anyone can see that, like Ronald Reagan, Romney has exceptionally good hair for a man his age....no thining of any kind anywhere, and a low, youthful hairline.

Romney always looked like the nominee, and his goofy-looking sidekick has a hairline like a chimpanzee.

How can they lose given the now greying mellon presented by Obama.
I will tell you how they can lose- this will be the FIRST time EVER that either party in the History of elections (presidential) has had 2 politicians where neither one was a Protestant- Romney is Mormon and Ryan is Catholic- what's interesting is that many people don't classify Mormons or Catholics as Christians- so this in a way is the first non-christian ticket ever.

Fuck sanity. That should be the official Democratic Party motto.

I don't agree with most of what Romney says he wants to do, but I don't believe he means any of that.

I've known a few politicians in my life, the ones I've wanted to know.

And they've all been very good guys. That might surprise people, but the ones I've met or known have all been very decent and honorable people.

I think Romney is like that. I honestly think he's a nice guy.

Good point.

If Obama had to design his perfect candidate to run against, it would be a Wall-Street mormon from Massachusetts whose wife drives a couple Cadillacs.

Obama is going to choke Mitt on his own magic underwear this fall. Its quiet now, but the Mormon stuff is going to sink Mitt.

"Mormon stuff" going to do WHAT?

Dream on....

Obama's bully boys are already throwing everything they can imagine at Mitt and nothing sticks because Mitt's too bland and nice.

There's nothing "quiet now," and the Dems are doing everything they can and it's not working...

Obama is toast.

Maybe he can put his Presidential library in Kenya, next to his grandmother's hut.

The only identifiable group that I have dealt with in business who never lied to me, tried to cheat me, or treat me with anything less than respect, have been Mormons. I would hire a Mormon any day of the week over a Christian, Jew, Muslim or atheist.

I'd even make the coffee myself.

I'll bet they weren't Mormon politicians though.

Nope. Never met a Mormon politician. That's where things may fall apart. For example, Harry Reid is a Mormon, and I wouldn't trust him in any capacity to do anything. He may be the most dishonest person in Congress.

Harry Reid is dishonest because he's a trial lawyer.

I agree with you about Mormons. Romney and his father are typical of the Mormons I've dealt with. They're old fashioned hard working folk. And I only hope I look as good as Romney does when I'm his age. The guy embodies clean living.
