So just because he is running for President he should be required by your say so or by law to make public what is a very private and personal document?
What should be exempt from the public eye in your opinion?
Should we pass a law?
Do you think that withholding certain private and personal documents is something that should prevent a person from becoming the president?
How much of the records backing a personal and private document should a person running for president be required to show to the public?
If the IRS receives the tax return and income is derived from illegal activity should the IRS report that to law enforcement? Can they, within the law?
If a person has written what would amount to a treasonous treatise regarding the US Government, should that be made public?
BJ7, you make my mind wonder all sorts of things with your posts.

And your link proves what?
You fail to answer the balance of the questions.
I don't really care about their tax returns, I care about mine and I do not like the amount I am paying for the way this administration is operating the government.
I am more interested in what Obama had to say about the United States and our government when he was in college than I am with how Romney made his money.
I do not believe that his tax returns will prove that he has done anything to ruin or nation.
I do have a strong belief that is not the case with Obama and what he had to say before he became a community agitator.
I find it rather amusing that you cannot see the irony of this.
Harry Reid is the Senate Majority Leader and has a lot of power yet you have no problem with him not revealing his financials just because he is not a candidate for the office of President. Why make that little of a distinction?
The idea of a humble person is more than likely foreign to you. Boastfulness in some fashion is more your style. Whether it is how much or how little you feel the need to reveal it. Some people are not like that and they feel it really inst any of anyone's business; it is very private. For some that privacy is a conviction and a matter of morality; but I would not expect you to understand that.

I noticed that Obama is the only candidate who has released returns for more than a couple years prior to taking office. The tradition seems to be, if the site is to be believed, that Romney has already done as much or more than previous candidates. Since Obama has never really held a real job, his returns are irrelevant.
And as far as finding illegalities in Romney's return, the IRS IS law enforcement. If there were anything wrong with Romney's tax returns, the IRS would be all over it.
But that doesn't fit CBJ7's little paradigm where Obama is perfect, and anyone who opposes him must be evil. But for people in the real world, it's the truth.

IRS only enforces tax law. If you make your money illegally and report your income and pay your taxes they cannot tell anyone without violating the law. Al Capone did not pay his taxes and that is what brought him down.

Ok, so what crimes did he commit? You think he was running drugs or promoting white slavery? He has the IRS examining his returns. If you think they wouldn't leak a crime committed by Romney, you're delusional. He also would have the SEC examining everything he does.
There aren't any crimes there. Get real.

What is the issue? I'm going to assume you meant "paying a smaller % than joe smith IS the issue". Gee, I have to correct your posts before I can answer.
If Romney paid a smaller percentage of tax than the average guy, that is an issue, but it's not Romney's fault. It's the law's fault. Why should Romney pay more than is legally due? Why should anyone pay more than is legally due? You want the returns to demagogue Romney because he may have followed the law which allowed him to pay a smaller percentage.
Don't blame Romney for that, blame the law. Blame the Congress and President, who could have changed that in 2009 and 2010, but didn't.
Your outrage is directed at the wrong party.

I am not saying that he committed a crime of any sort.
For the IRS to leak the information would be a criminal offense.
Maybe he failed to tithe the expected amount.
Who really cares except those that are desperate for some sort of distraction from the failure of Obama and his real plans for this nation.
