I, too, have been away for a while and it's good to see some of the old names still around!

In most of the cases where you have a whole bunch of misused/spelled words (from "irregardless" down to this..."respectively" ROFFL), it seems like the bigger message here is attitude. I am not unfamiliar w/"things hood" or at least "hood-ish," but I choose not to hobby there or in that fashion.

Now, well, depending on how hot the chick is and/or the degree of above referenced "hoodhookerishness," I might make an exception. Otherwise, I'm not interested, and that type of ad is a great tip off.

Besides that, if it's just a "bless her sweet little heart" type situation, well, obviously you would just ignore that shit.

I wish my work was slow...but not that slow. I do believe Sir Jfred would enjoy doing this, however, if for no other reason than out of sheer boredome and the personal satisfaction of helping someone.

There are a few posts in between BUT...I have almost studied how people read, or skim, or fail to read in our current gotta-haul-some-ass culture...thanks for re-reading the post and finding the original intent. We often find asshats if we're looking for them. I worked for a man once who said "If you look at the world through shit colored glasses what do expect to see?" Not that you fit the bill BUT it took a re-read. Probably because in here one could learn to expect both the asshats and their barbs.

A LOT of people learn in ways the conventional lecture and "new" media driven paradigms seem to ignore. Hands on, one-on-one and guided experience are all valid options for learning because some people just can't do "school" for whatever reason. So I'm with you on that. For the record I'm not against anyone doing whatever they can short of larceny, fraud or murder to better themselves. However deception rolls right in there with fraud. But that's a different argument.

My point was that you should help and assist all you want, to the depths of your altruism, but in the broad sense it might be better not to perform the work for them.

Except for mindless cultural icons, celebs, drooling ex-Presidents and teenage hookers who use media consultants, professional photographers and press agents to keep their image sharp in the public eye the rest of us should stick to writing our own copy, don't you think? How a culture expresses itself is a direct reflection of the culture and as diverse as asshat pontificators, illiterate hookers, old white folks, ebonics users and bashers may be they all make up the mosaic of daily life. Why whitewash any part of it to suit another?
