I really don't care where, when, or how often Doove posts. Sometimes I agree with his take, other times I don't. It is up to me to decide if I'd like to read what he has to say. If I didn't want to read his posts (or those of anyone else) I could look up in OSD's signature on how to add him to an ignor list.

That's the problem with being intentionally vague...using a general statement based on some contributions to a thread can be perceived to be an indictment of the entire thread, which was not my intention...mea culpa.

I was making a general observation because of the quotes below (bold font added by me) more so than your poll or comments, which at first read seemed to be mostly good natured ball-busting on Doove's posting style. Something like that strikes me as fair game in the give and take on the board. The tone of the comments below, however, suggests a darker road than I would like to see us travel on here. Am I somehow misreading that these posts suggest that Doove is not/should not be welcome to participate in general discussions?

yeah, but jack and doove would throw down that BAN button at the drop of a hat if they personally didnt like you and would use every excuse other than to just say..... hey..... the decision to ban could really be an easy and concrete one and could be simplified to just one instance which is universally accepted and can be clearly defined and that is.....

other than that, That would cover and be inclusive to the WHOLE of the community what each persons "tolerance " level is, if we were to truely be looking for "fairness" and remove just a few peoples "personal definition" of whats fair and eliminate the possibility that just a small few could unfairly dictate a persons fate


but I do understand and agree your basic concept about not wanting to silence the people we personally cant stand the most, jbut everyone just has a difreant level of how far they really want to stand by that statement,
