from what I understand, GWB attended D-Day ceremonies 2 times, Obama once, Bill Clinton 8 times.

What do all 3 have in common? they were born after WWII.

Its likely that they do not have a vested interest in D-Day Ceremonies as they were not part of the WWII generation of presidents who took their time to pay respects of the fallen at Normandy every year. (Clinton was an exception to this.)

some ceremonies go quietly in the night, like VJ day which used to be celebrated, but no more.
