I DO NOT answer any text that I receive.. Although, I do make the exception for the deaf... When I get a call from the TTY, I will have the person text me from that point... and proceed as if I was actually on a verbal call. Getting the referral info and taking it from there..

I'll go you one further. I have what is called a caption phone.
Similar to a TTY in that there is an operator but all they
do is type what you say. It reads out onto a display on
my phone or onto my computer if I have it connected.
I just speak into the phone and it is basically like a
normal phon conversation except there is a 3 second delay
while the operator types what you say so that I can read it.
Buy yeah, the idea of someone being a go between
when you are setting up a session would be awkward.
Your point about the texts is kind of what starte this whole
subject. I know some of the ladies aren't quite as technology
driven. I don't want to bug them with an endless supply
of emails and PMs but some don't monitor their email
quite as much.
