I only learned about this just now she called me still very upset and having trouble shaking what occurred last night.

My daughter is a 22 yr old college student with nothing but straight A's. She is a good kid.

She and some friends decided to dress up like "role" playing to go see the movie Snow White and the Huntsman.

They went to Bakers Street Pub in Sugar Land and had dinner and drinks then afterwards went to the movies nearby. She realized that she left her ID at the bar. So after the movies they went back and this was after hours, Bakers Pub Street had just closed but she said the door was still open and she walked in and talked to the bartender who did have her ID and was getting it for her. A large bouncer came out of the corner and confronted her in a hostile manner about being in the bar and she told him she just came to get her ID that she left. He told her she had to leave and aggressively grabbed her arm and she pushed him back telling him to not touch her that she was getting her ID and leaving. What followed next was him grabbing her by the throat and throwing her to the ground with the bartender and waitress witnessing the whole event. The manager came out sw the bouncer who had her pinned to the floor tells him to call the cops because she is trespassing. The cops arrive and during this time she finally was let up and while crying her eyes out called her Dad on her cell. Her Dad lives right down the street and rushed to the bar half asleep and he and the manager got into it. The cops said they would arrest her for trespassing and they couldn't do anything about her claims of being assaulted by the bouncer unprovoked. The waitress and the bartender were never questioned by the police when they got there. Apparently the manager didn't want to press charges but the bouncer was carrying on. Her Dad was really upset and felt that this guy might have been on something he looked "twitchy" as he put it.

Still shaken up she called me today saying she still can't believe that happened to her.

I am so pissed. I really want to do something about this but I know its a he said she said thing and I am certain if the bartender and the waitress didn't say anything they were probably trying to keep their jobs and didn't want to get involved.

Seriously Bakers Pub?? You let a 220 lb bouncer assault a young girl like that?

Sorry for the typos just really upset and really pissed. I have a mind to go down there and give the manager a peice of my mind.

Most of those places have security camera and I would have your attourney request them.

There is one unfortunate aspect and that is that this is an establishment that serves alcohol and as a result are subject to fines and penalties including the loss of their license by "allowing" a customer to be on the premises after legal hours. this is why most bars have "bar time" which is usually about 20 minutes fast. this gives them time to get people out.

Why did the bartender not tell the bouncer that he was getting her ID?

I am not saying your daughter is or was wrong but I don t see things adding up here and there must be more to this story than meets the eye.

If you truly feel your daughter was in the right. And you fully understand the facts of the situation; then at a minimum your daughter (or you if she is a minor) should file a complaint with the local PD and the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. For all you know there maybe mulitple incidences of this bar (bouncer) getting too physical.

I wouldn't hire an attorney at this point.

Why did the bar have her ID? Most bar simply require that you show them the ID for someone who looks under 21. Did they give her ID back?

I am really sorry about this .. even if he was provoked, there is absolutely no reason for 220 of muscle to assault a woman!

Have you talked to an attorney?

I understand that you are upset about what happened to your daughter, but keep in mind that the majority of 22 year olds out there can't handle their liquor and omitted a lot of details in the stories they tell their Daddys.

If you want to spend a bunch of money and time to extract a pound of flesh, then that is your choice.

I will say that your daughter should understand that when you are in anothers business, you have to do wtf they say .... which was leave. No matter how much in the right she was and it sure sounds like she was. No DL is worth it IMHO. No matter how shiity the bouncer was. Retrieve the DL the next day.

Most times it is better to just walk away...especially from crazy!

One other thing, you should asks the Mods to remove this thread. There is to much real life information in it. IMHO of course.

As a father of 20's daughters....you have only received about half the story. Sorry but its the truth, my little princesses that can do no wrong...... can fabricate/omit/lie their asses off if its to their benefit to do so.

She has bruises on her neck. I am sure she may not be telling all.. however I am going to let her Dad handle this, I think at this point he is more furious. He was there I was not. I told her to go make a Doc appt to make sure her neck is ok.

Inquiring minds could easily find out real life info.

I would be pissed too. I have a daughter that has had things "happen" that cost money but the reality was that she made a couple of poor choices.

I have already asked.. haven't gotten a response. Did the report mod thing. I posted this in anger and frustration and yes your right probably should have waited till I cooled down and not posted.

If the mods would just remove I would truly appreciate, thanks
