So I have a 4 day weekend coming up next month and I'm thinking of making it 4 days of playing poker and hobbying in NF area. I've never played in the NF casinos, but it looks like the poker is better in the US and the hobbying is better across the border.

Anybody care to throw thier two cents in? I'd perfer not going back and forth half a dozen times in 4 days, but I also want the best of both worlds

You do not really want to be going back and forth in my opinion. That is going to get you searched at some point.

My experience is the poker is fine in Canada. What did you hear that would imply it is not. It is the same as in the US to me.

I want to play tournaments, and I don't see anything about the Canadian casino's having any daily tourney's.

Give them a call? Its been a few years but I am pretty sure I played in some daily tourney's in Canada. Good luck!

They do have daily's and the times that I've played its been enjoyable. If you get a room at one of the local spots you can PLAY and PLAY with ease. If you stay at the Hotel right there ... well need I say more

Canadian Poker Rooms are OK but honestly I prefer the American Side ... but then you can't "play" as well

My personal opinion is never ever play cards with other winds blowing on your flag pole.

Plan to lose if you do....

My suggestion would be to start at one side and end on the other since you'd like both experiences.

The Poker room on U.S. is much better have tournaments
at 10:00 A.M and 7:00 P.M. Daily
The Canadian side may have added tournaments recently
Check both web sites for more info
The gals on the Canadian side are much better
and a big selection and no LE problems.

I did one of these trips just a few weeks ago. No tournaments at Fallsview or Casino Niagara even though they are still on their websites. The person working the poker room said they haven't had sit n' go tournaments for at least a year. I kindly suggested they stop advertising them. Casino Niagara is lower stakes $1-$2 NLH with a max of $150 or $200 buy in. Fallsview normally has $2-$5. Not sure what the max buy in is. The poker room at Seneca Niagara on the American side was much busier but I missed both the 10am and 7PM tournaments. They start at $1-$2 and go up from there.

Obviously for the hobby, you want to be on the Canadian side.
