First timer looking for some advice

I have never hired an escort before. I was looking to at ads on BP and CL and was extremely overwhelmed. Being a first timer, I am really not sure where to begin. I am shy by nature when meeting someone, so it is a bit intimidating responding to an ad. Naturally, by being shy, I am also very respectful. What advice can you all give me?

welcome, sportsguy, you have just joined a community (eccie) rich with beautiful women and a good majority will see first timers, or newbies. Check out the ladies showcases, ads, etc. and find a lady that appeals to you. Research is the key in this hobby of ours, the more info you can gain, the better the experience. Although many ladies advertise here and on Backpage and Craigslist, focus on this community for your first outing. Happy Hobbying and feel free to ask a lot of questions from the guys and the gals....

Great advice! Also, try sending an email or PM to the lady you select and explain that your new and to go easy. I am sure she will guide you in the right direction.

You might also want to look at some sample reviews to see how things will kinda go...

Since you have already found Eccie. I would reccomend staying away from CL and BP. While you can find gems there from time to time, it is unreliable, and you might end up getting a t-shirt for taking one for the team.

At least here you know the advertising girls are somewhat reliable, and handle their business. Some better than others. So, read some reviews, check some ads and showcases, and make a decision.

OK here it is new dude. This shit is not only frowned upon by society, if you're not careful it can easily slip into the illegal category, and worse, it can potentially ruin your life as you know it. If you have something of great value that only you know about to lose, such as a relationship, career, family/kids, standing in the community, whatever, then cancel your handle RIGHT THIS VERY INSTANT and get the fuck out of here. Do not assume that your definition of discretion and decorum apply here, this hobby leaks like a freaking nursing home sewing circle and that's a fact.

I say this because most new dudes have no earthly idea what they're getting themselves in to. There is a potential hell on earth waiting for you in the hobby the likes of which you could never have imagined. And if any of you new dudes are reading this shit other than the thread starter then don't come back to me later and say you weren't warned, because you just were!


Before you even attempt to respond to an ad, you seriously need to do some research on how best to protect yourself. It is absolutely essential for your safety and security that you do. Here's a good starting point. http://www.eccie.net/forumdisplay.php?f=4

Another good place to read is the Alert area as this is one of the areas where the ones to avoid can be found. Also consider purchasing "Premium Access" as this gives you the "rest of the story".

Trust me, there's no such thing as too much information in this deal of ours.
So read. Read. Read.

Don't get me wrong, there is a LOT of fun that can be had in the hobby and there are some amazing ladies as well. The problem is that if you jump blindly into the pool and happen to encounter a pariah (an outcast), and it only takes one-- your world can very easily come crashing down around and on top of you. So, I can't emphasize this strongly enough, do your homework before even considering responding to an ad!!

And NO, I am not bashing any of the fine ladies here. I have absolutely no doubt that any/all of the intelligent hobbyists (ladies/gentlemen alike), will agree with me that you need to educate yourself before you do anything.

Be a lurker for a while. Do as others have mentioned and read the boards, look at all of them. Even without BCD you can see good info on basic reviews. Watch them for a while until you see repeats of those that look comfortable to you.

Having lurked myself for a good while it's my strong opinion that you're running a higher gamble messing with CL or BP. I would equate ECCIE to a fair better odds than blackjack and CL, BP to the roulette wheel...

I myself am a pretty infrequent flyer but I have yet to have bad experience...knock on wood...ouch!!...i mean the desk.

Start out easy, look for perhaps a french only situation. There are plenty of VERY capable ladies on this board that are newbie friendly and will quickly put you at ease...Respect them...they're all good ladies!!

Well PoetMeister, sometimes it takes a cynical view to point-out what's truly at stake here. Most nOObies are completely unaware of the risks and they jump right on in. They think it's all Babes, BBBJs, and fun.

How many "you 'ain't gonna' believe this shit" stories about dudes getting outed/caught/burned whatever have you seen/read? Well over the years, I've seen/read WAY more than I would have liked. All I'm doing is giving a cold dose of reality.

The reviews are great and lots of folks are having a real good time, unfortunately the down side to this joint is every bit as real. It's all fun and games until someone gets their eye poked out. So if my comments seem scary to you, great! That means that you've given some thought to what you're wagering in this little game we're all playing here.

My advice is to be VERY careful...

I started some 5 years ago rather blindly. I was lucky enough to find a nice lady in another town, drove over an hour to see her at her incall, had a great time. When I came back out to my car from the session, there was a business card tucked under my wiper (GULP!!) I had a very unique vehicle (a collector car) and someone who drove by noticed and wanted to see if I was interested in selling it. It obviously turned out to be nothing, but scared the sh$t out of me at the time.

Best case:
You'll find an unbelievably beautiful woman that is VERY sexual and tends to your every desire. She instictively knows what gets your motor running and works very hard to maximize your enjoyment. You'll leave the session floating on a cloud, which is good because you probably won't be able to walk very well for a few hours.

Worst case:
I heard a horror story about another hobbyist in Houston who was outed by one of his "acquaintances" from Craigslist...she evidently had gotten tested for STD's through the city's free program. Unfortunately, she tested positive for Ghonnorea and was asked to identify any sexual partners she had been with recently. She evidently had kept his number in her phone (he stupidly didn't have a "hobby phone") and the city found out who he was. They SHOWED UP AT HIS DOOR and asked him to submit to a blood test for STD's. This dude was married...thankfully, his wife wasn't home and he was. He had to deny the whole thing, send the city packing and then promptly got himself tested and was negative, by the grace of God. Needless to say, this could have ruined his life; I'm pretty sure he has quit the hobby...

I'm not telling you to run for the hills, and I'm not saying you should dive right in, either. You can have a great time, enjoy all of the fruits that life has to offer, but you must do so understanding the risks involved.

My only suggestion, should you decide to move forward is: GET A HOBBY PHONE. There is simply NO excuse not to have one.
