I also don't miss The Hammer - when he had to helm a segment himself, he was usually pretty poor at it.

I think Dan is the funniest guy on the station. Few people agree with me though.

I agree on Dan. Sometime Sturm gets a little sports intensive for me, but Dan has a good sense of humor. Plus, I think Donavan has been a good add.

Towards the end, I thought Hammer was incoherant for whatever reason and I always liked Corby better. However, Hammer did have the great interview question of Chief Kunkle.

Would also like to see Kevin Scott come back....

Two Ticket-related sites that I love:

http://www.gordonkeith.com - greatness!

http://www.theunticket.com - replays a lot of the great segments.

Smails, great handle and avatar. "When you buy a hat like that you ought to get a free bowl of soup with it. It looks good on you though."

Dan is great. He has two of the greatest ticket drops:
"We're havin fun here, no?"
"What?!! You're walkin out?"
I also love how Sturm gets crazy head when he is trying to make a serious sports point and Dan's just busting his balls.

The Chief Kunkle interview was one of the most wheels off Greggo moments:
"So do you like this gig?...that wasn't the question, do you like your job? Do you like being the chief of police?"

When my ex SO tried to listen to the Ticket, I had to print off all the drops as she could not tell the difference between the live action and the drops. She never fought through it. " I got a backpack full of weed" and " I've got a flask in my car".

On a related note to Caddyshack, saw Mikah last week in Vegas ( review posted) and she asked me how I chose my avatar. Sigh.... Noted it was one of the top 5 great flicks of all time. Need to send it to her. This notwithstanding ( that and perhaps some age difference) still had a bang on session.

Few movies have spawned as many sayings ( at least in the golf community) as this one. So I got that going for me, which is nice.

Yea, that's the thing about listening to the ticket. For the random listener, the constant playing of drops will give them confused head. Because not only are the drops funny, they also act as a reference to whatever discussion was going on when they were created. So if you don't have that point of reference it makes no sense. Listening to the ticket is like being in on one big 14 year long joke.
Luckily my SO is a ticketchick. She loves the Musers and Gordo.

I can't play a round of golf without hearing a plethera of caddyshack quotes. I think alot of people probably play golf because of that movie.
I personally adopted my golf philosophy from Ty Webb:
"I don't keep score"
"Then how do you measure yourself against other golfers?"
"By height"

Uh John in........

Damn I love the ticket. I do miss The Hammer even though I still listen to the hardline on the way home. Now the hardline is my least favorite part of the show. Sometimes Mike and Corby go way too liberal for me and I have to turn them off.

So who remembers "The Bottle Rockets" Elfenbein & Shapeiro?

I love it when Gordo is busting Georgio's balls and Junior is just laughing in the background, giving no comfort or aid, just letting it go on.

"Church Sucks"

The Musers were talking the other morning about ticket-isms that have worked themselves into mainstream culture like; tired-head, spare, beat down and I can't remember the others, but it's true. You can tell if someone is a P-1 by listening to them talk.

One of my favorite segments is @ 3 when the hardline and Bob and Dan transition with line 4 guy. Greatness.

I started listening to the ticket in 2001 when I moved here from CA. I still preferred Jim Rome as I have been listening to him since 1992 but I would listen on occasion but would get confused head for sure. I moved to Lubbock (I know, I know) and ran into sports radio hell.

As Jim Rome became harder to find in Texas I re-discovered the ticket on trips here. I moved back here in 2009 and my realtor was a huge P1. Between additional listening and him explaining some of the more historic drops I am now completely hooked. I can't listen to just sports all day anymore and the ticket is a perfect combination of sports and general interest.

Combining topics on this thread, I seem to recall that either the Hardline or B&D interviewed Lacy Underall and Danny Noonan at least once and maybe multiple times in the past. Might have been Guest booking league on B&D, as they like to interview former movie "cult" stars that never did another thing in the movies, like Damone from Fast Times and Niedermeyer from Animal House.

Will check the link above, maybe the interview is logged there.

Anyone else miss Ben and Skin? We need them back to mix with the Orphanage Sat am. Used to be hilarious.
