Rest well, Dick, and keep them hopping up there! I give you a 99, you always knew a good beat, and what was easy to dance to. Now get St. Peter to do the twist!

LOL! Ed left before he sent mine out, too! I'm sure ours are on his desk, waiting for someone with some stamps.

I wonder if that Portrait in his attic is going to burst into flames ala Dorian Gray.
I grew up watching Dick Clark in the late 50's and through the 60's on American Bandstand, he surely stood the test of time as music changed. He will be well remembered.

Wow! I so remember watching American Bandstand on Saturday mornings during the early 60s and dancing with my sisters in the living room. I was always fascinated that the bands and singers sounded just like the records until ... boing ... oh, they're not really playing and singing.
Thanks Lacy for remembering an American Icon and posting.

Did Dick Clark ever say a bad thing about anybody? I don't even think I ever saw him slightly perturbed, let alone angry. We need more guys like him. God Bless You, Dick! Looking forward to the Eternal Bandstand myself. Later. Much later.
