Default In general, a good idea but I have some concerns

This is my first post on ECCIE though I've been hobbying for a while.

I am not an escort. I am not paid for a service. When people start paying me, they can certainly feel free to review the level and quality of service I provide. :-)

That having been said, I have NO problem (in general) with backchannel intra-provider information exchange provided it is limited to information of relevance. (Was he clean, did he pay, was he respectful, etc.) I have nothing to fear from this because although I am not rich, handsome or especially hot in the sack; I endeavor to fulfill the basics of being a good client. This information IS exchanged ANYWAY!

But there are two areas where I have concern.

First, though I see few and prefer to repeat, every escort is treated differently in certain respects based upon a variety of factors.

If I leave a tip for a woman, even SHE may have no idea why it was left. For her to tell others I left her a tip might create an unrealistic expectation in others.

The same applies to other things I may do. Because of certain specifics, I gave one provider a full-body therapeutic massage. (I am trained in it.) Now, I'm sure that was fine and she enjoyed it. But I certainly wouldn't want other providers EXPECTING that booking a session with me will automatically net them such treatment!

Think of it as if a provider rendered some service that isn't usually on her menu. Reviewing that could cause other hobbyists to expect it. Not good.

Outside of showing up clean, being Mr. Nice Guy and including the right amount (plus maybe a bit extra) in the envelope; EVERY other aspect of a session with me is pretty much unique to the specific provider and really, IMO, nobody else's business. I'm not getting paid for this, you know -- so Your Mileage May Vary Considerably! Frankly, I suck in the sack the first time with most women; but over time I improve.

Second, sometimes when providers share information backchannel that they think might be helpful to the client; they are not being helpful at all.

In one case, I went to book with a lady I hadn't seen before, and because she had stressed something on her website, in the email I noted that I didn't mind it. By the time the game of "provider telephone" had completed, the fact that I would merely tolerate and accept this got blown into me having a fetish (which I don't have) and created a bit of an awkward moment when I went back to visit a lady I see fairly often.

IMO, and it is only my opinion, information shared between providers about clients should be as limited as possible to factors pertaining to health, safety and business.

Do I mind having such items reported? Absolutely not. I endeavor to be a good client.

But beyond that, I think providers should keep the fact they think a client is absolutely fabulous -- and why -- to themselves.

I have no problem with such reviews and can't see why any other hobbyist would care. If it is a big deal, just let them opt out, much like some providers have a "no review" policy.

Of course on ECCIE, if a provider does have that policy, they lose the verified status, don't have access to posting ads and are not permitted to have a Showcase. So perhaps the question would be, if a board did have an actual hobbyist review forum, what would it look like, and if a gent had a "no review" policy, what would be a fair equivalent consequence in the hypothetical?

He would get a whole lot of brownie points for not buying into the ewww factor. I can't think of one reason why men should be reviewed.

Egggggzactly! Get rid of this review concept that you guys are used to. It's not a full (blow by blow ha) description of activities! At first the REFERENCE board would have to be heavily moderated in order to keep pertinent information separated from the YMMV factor until the ladies get the hang of it.

If a guy wants to opt out, it can be stated that he has a no public reference policy or something.

Honestly, though, after this long discussion thread I don't see Eccie itself implementing it due in part to the controversy it's caused.

Well, I'm not clamoring for ladies to review me, or even to post the type of "expanded OK" that TxBrandy is talking about. But if they want to, they're going to, whether it's on a P4P board, a separate online system (including something like P411), or by private backchannel that I won't even see.

I'm mostly indifferent. What the hell, if a lady wants to, I'm not going to worry about it, particularly since I couldn't stop it even if I cared.

A man that thinks that it is cool to have a review written about his performance I find creepy. So any man that doesn't buy into that creepiness, is more than okay with me.

Who said anything about writing about their performance?

I like chevaliers "expanded reference" terminology and P411 is awesome.

Default Review of Laurentius :-)

"Laurentius is a 44 year old guy who is 3' tall, weighs 500 lbs and has a 2" penis. He showers once a week whether he needs it or not and has a skid-mark fetish.

I opened the door to find him picking his nose and clutching a blue envelope. WTF? Didn't I specify envelopes be WHITE on my website? Ah, what the hell. He dropped off the envelope and went to wash his hands, hardly giving me a smile. Sometimes being a high-dollar hottie sucks because this over-stuffed envelope is all in FIVES! I hope it takes him a while to wash his hands ....

Okay, it's all there plus a whopping five-dollar tip. Out he comes and I realize he smells like he needs a bath ... badly. Somehow, that job working as a nurse is starting to look a lot better ...."

LMAO! I'll see ya baby! Though that is TMI. I'd cut it down to the facts that you are a 44 yr old guy, 3' tall, and weighs 500lbs so if someone comes to the door, says its you but he is 7'2" and weighs 125 pounds I would suspect something kinda funny like hobby identity theft. Skid mark fetish may be good to know.... Might add the YMMV of the odor issue so that the next lady is prepared to subtly suggest a refreshing shower prior to beginning the session.

Even with the right amount in the envelope (or more), I bet half the ladies would think they've been shorted.

I wouldn't want my whole gift in small bills, but a few small bills are great. Sometimes it is hard to break a hundred.
