Lawmaker believes Girl Scouts supports abortion, promotes homosexuality
http://www.jconline.com/article/2012...-homosexuality
Quote:
In a letter obtained by The Journal-Gazette of Fort Wayne today, Rep. Bob Morris of Fort Wayne said he did some research on the Internet and found allegations that the Girl Scouts are a tactical arm of Planned Parenthood, allow transgender females to join and encourage sex.
"After talking to some well-informed constituents, I did a small amount of Web-based research, and what I found is disturbing," Morris wrote in his letter, which also accused the group of promoting "homosexual lifestyles."
|
I'd love to hear who these "well-informed" people are. And I'd like to see the sites he visited in his "small amount of web-based research"
I was a Girl Scout for YEARS. I never heard a word about sex or gays. Anything even related to where babies came from was "ask your parents".
I learned how to sew, bake, cook, interview old people, grow crystals, ride horses, sail a boat, survive in the wild, and make a daddy longlegs scream by tossing it in a campfire. I certainly did not learn how to eat pussy or murder fetuses. Oh I learned how to hustle if that counts as dubious activity - selling those cookies was a pain in the ass before this country became morbidly obese. You had to pout your eyes and talk about how you couldn't wait to go to camp that summer.

These asshats have no idea what the Girl Scouts or Planned Parenthood actually do. I wish the American women would educate the Boob Morrises.

Girl Scouts have better cookies than Planned Parenthood.

Bet she could. That's one sexy avatar.
On a serious note. No. The Girl Scouts encourage homosexuality or abortion. I wonder what the genius from Indiana, that bastion of intellectualism, thinks about the Boy Scouts.

My boy scout troop often cooperated with the girl scouts. I wasn't there long, since I got tossed out for eating brownies.

I'm a man. I'm always going to prefer a cookie rather than a condom. I know condoms are necessary, but cookies are tastier.

The condom means you're getting laid. The cookie means you're spending the night alone. Choose wisely

Who the fuck cares as long as she/he learns and follows the rules.

Hmmm . . . Good point, Missy. I will ponder the relative consequences of my choices. Thanks.
And Sa_fartman, thank you for your continuing example of tolerance. It is inspiring.

You must have missed the story. Seems the Girl Scouts became a working arm of Media Matters when they published a pamphlet telling girls (young women) to got to Media Matters of America.com (a Soros outfit) and find out the "truth". Seems the leadership of the Girl Scouts was also a part of a Soros group. Since they got outed, the Girl Scouts said that they will change the pamphlet.

This is all true.
I do not buy the cookies, it is a rip-off for the troop as they get but a small fraction of the money. I instead will make a donation to the local troop which has local leadership0 by individuals that I know.
My kids participated in scouting and we were involved in their activities. This is how you make determinations as to what they are exposed to by the leaders if you are not one yourself. If you have a son, I would recommend that you find a good troop and become active with them. Scouting is a great way for a young person to learn and develop skills that they are not exposed to anywhere else.

Its not about the profits, its about working towards a goal, if you reach that goal they get to do cool things like go to amusement parks, educational field trips, even a chance to go travel overseas. Thats
when I learned when I was in GS.

But it's bollocks, your troop doesn't really benefit from it. I loved the "working towards a goal" aspect too, but in the thousands of dollars of cookies I sold I never saw a damn thing. Our troop never had one field trip, camping experience, etc. All the GS camps I went to were paid for by my mom.
I love GS, don't get me wrong, but the cookies are a total scam.
