Justice Breyer Robbed At Knifepoint
Yes, Justice Stephen "Let's Look to Foreign Law for a Precedent" Breyer was robbed by a machete wielding robber while vacationing at his Caribbean home on Nevis. I wonder if he will become a more "law and order" justice after this? Then there is the issue of having a home in the Caribbean? On his salary? Maybe an audit is in order.

Which also begs the question: Exactly where was the Supreme Court Justice's Protection Detail?

Is he SURE it was a machete-wielding person or could it have been one of Roberts' offshore machete-wielding corporate persons? If the corporate person had robbed Breyer in Washington, he might have had to declare the theft as income like any other real person.
BTW, braniac, the Magna Carta (was an example of foreign law) that gave birth to many of the legal concepts to which we subscribe in modern U.S. law.

It's funny to watch you think you're smart. No, it was a real person.
And, genius, we brought over the British Common Law with us when we came over here, so it is ours as well. But precedents set post 1789 should be American. We don't need to go to recent foreign law to decide what we should do in this country. But If you like Justice Ginsburg, remember, she doesn't think our Constitution should be a model for any country, rather they should look to South Africa and other countries. So what can we do? Our own Supreme Court doesn't like the Constitution. Or America. It's sad.

You're boring, irrelevant and most often, wrong! There is no Libertarian candidate for President that has a chance and even if there were, he would fare worse than BO in getting anything pushed through an obstructionist Teapublican Congress.
Your ramblings are that of a madman holding out hope that somehow there will be more uninformed people who will espouse your ideas.
Your only chance is for Fox "News" to keep dumbing down the electorate but even then, your Libertarian concepts are doomed to failure.
Your party lacks both the money and intelligence to defeat the Republicans who stole Ron Paul's grip on the Tea Party so they could reinvent themselves in order to perform their duty of carrying the water for corporations.

Number one, Ron Paul is not the chose of the TEA Party. Just saying it doesn't make it so. I supported Herman Cain.
The Magna Carta is a root as are the Ten Commandments and the Code of Hammurabi but only roots and not the tree. The tree is the US Constitution.

Wow. Deep. How long it take you to come up with that root and tree thing? When you say it's the tree....do you mean like because it's printed on paper? Or is it on sheepskin, I forget? And, like....is the Bill of Rights like the biggest branches on the tree with all the other stuff being the leaves and the bark? And is there less constitutional protection during the winter when the leaves have fallen off the tree? Or do we then look to the root for our protections while we seek the Ten Commandments and the Hammurabi thing down in the ground....you know, where the roots are....
Christ.....

This is a non-item. Justices Ginsberg and Souter have also been crime victims over the last few years (hell, Souter got mugged). Shit happens. Keep moving people...nothing to see here.

Texas T, you miss the point. One of the traditions of this board is to take non-items and turn them into vicious political attacks. That's all I was trying to do. Geez.

I must have hurt Timpage in a previous life. He seems to be following me around belly aching without any real purpose.
