Default Tell Your Congressman! Repeal NDAA!

There is a proposal in Congress to repeal Section 1031 of the NDAA, which would remove the authority of the military to arrest and detain indefinitely American citizens on American soil without due process. Call your congressman and tell him/her to support HR 3785!

Still, no one willing to take a stand on NDAA. Apparently the majority here are content with letting the military imprison citizens on American soil for an indefinite term, without formal charges or the right to an attorney. Hmmm . . .

This is THE big issue, folks. And both President Obama and Gov. Romney agree on it. You do understand, I hope, that pursuant to this law, you can be picked up off the street, not given a reason, and no one will be told where you went or what happened to you. Really? In America? There is no more freedom if this stands. America is over. And we owe it all to the cooperative effort of the Democrats and Republicans in the Congress, and our perfect, God-like President Obama.

But he shot Bin Laden. Maybe. So nothing else matters. This is truly the saddest year in our history, which will not last much longer.

Are you a terrorist COG? Otherwise, why are you so scared of NDAA?
My greatest scare is my next parking ticket. I'm safe for speeding and red light tickets thanks to Escort radar/laser detection.

Or do you think NDAA can get me for my Cayman Island Account?
Let me know, because then I'll be scared. I would have to move it to Austria. (Best place for skying and picking up a gf for the night.)

This is, without a doubt, the most mind numbingly, jaw dropping, completely ignorant post I have ever seen on this or any other board.

So let's see, how many of you agree with WR? As long as you're not a terrorist, you have nothing to fear from the NDAA. Yes or No.

Remember, you don't have to actually BE a terrorist, they only have to THINK you're a terrorist.

So, how does one define terrorist? It isn't defined in the bill, so I guess it is whatever the President or military decide. Hmmm . . . What if a journalist writes a story critical of the administration's war on terror policy, could they be considered a terrorist? Or aiding a terrorist?

What if they pick you up and say, "You're a terrorist." Then you say, "No, I'm not." Who will decide? Can you go to court and be proven innocent? Uh, no. Can you speak to a lawyer? Uh, no. Can you even call your family? Not if they don't let you. So where do you go if you think you have been arrested mistakenly or unfairly? Uh, nowhere.

So come on, how many agree with Wave?
