You can't make this stuff up. Except for reduced electricity use, the incandescent bulb is superior. The thing I really hate about the new bulbs is the quality of the light. I'm not sure what it is but it seems less natural; they give me a headache.

One more reason to hate the Democrats. They force us to use tiny toilets, drive tiny cars, and now this.

It's great video. Ted Poe's district is a suburb of Houston where I live. I wish he was president. I noticed Tom Tancredo sitting behind Ted Poe. He ran for president back in 2008. He said we should blow up Mecca if the Jihadists keep causing trouble. Come to think of it, maybe he should be president!

In case anyone cares, Thomas Edison did not invent the light bulb, it was actually an Englishman named Joseph Swan; you can look it up.

I'm just amazed that the belief that Edison invented the light bulb is engraved in stone. It makes me wonder what other beliefs we have that are totally wrong. The concept of repeating a lie so enough that it becomes accepted as gospel is something the left understands and uses constantly.

It reminds me of a comedy group back in the seventies called Firesign Theatre; they had an album called Everything You Know is Wrong.

The list is not small

Start with Christopher Columbus which is still taught to pre-schoolers and work your way through the First thanksgiving, the invention of Baseball, the US "losing" the Vietnam War, and end with the man made global warming myth, with plenty of topics in between

I think everyone is missing the point, it doesn't matter anymore who invented the incandescent lamp the point is that Congress was telling us what lamps we could use at home. What matters is that the only light bulb manufacturer in the US has shut their doors. What is important is that only China (and GE which owns the plant) are the only ones profiting from this law. Yes, a repeal of the ban is in current legislation but democrats promised that it would be revisted come the new year.

CC has a holiday named after him. I don't think he was deserving of that honor.
