I remeber hearing of a man in frisco that knowingly infected 6+ ladies with HIV.
So its possible to say that some sick, deranged, infected fucker out there would
prey on beautiful young wemon to fuck their life up with AIDS. Simply because he fucked his up and we all know how misery loves company. so a provider might be his best bet that openly offers bbfs. He could go as far as altering test results, its just a piece of paper, he could be using someone elses test results only way you wouldn know is if you checked ID, but you can also get fake ID. so you just never know, it could be ok for the porn world but not the hobby world.

The way I've always looked at it is, it doesn't matter if it's advertised, offered, implied, whatever. I make the assumption that anyone I might want to fool around with is probably barebacking somebody, be it a spouse, SO, client, whatever, so it's up to me to be responsible for myself and wrap up.

So simple, and yet so difficult for some to understand.

Many prefer the drama and the arguements to just doing what is obvious--being responsible for themselves.

I'm here for the drama!
Kandy, I remember reading about that. I think they convicted the guy, but I am not sure what he was actually charged with.
Maybe we should sticky this and make it a mega thread so we do not have to ever have new ones pop up.... and we would never even have to read another one again...

Interestingly enough, HIV-1 is similar to SIV found in the Chimpanzee. HIV-2 is similar to SIV found in the Sooty Mangabey that lives in West Africa.

I bet its devastating to those who have it. Also, the reported cases and actual infected for strain 1 are vastly different, By the governments own admission of a lack of testing protocols, the number of people tested for 2 is extremely low, so the reported cases will be too.

At one time a man was sending out letters saying he was infected with aids and spreading it to everyone. It turned out to to a young black girl who was doing a prank.

Just some information you guys and gals may not have been made aware of. Back in the mid 90's I was on a research panel for the possible genetic alteration of the CD4 receptor of the T cell that the virus attaches to, infiltrates and destroys. The hypothesis at the time was if we could genetically alter either the protein coat or the receptive genome, would the virus still be virulent?
Well....after all these years, and test runs, and trials, it seems that the benefit to the research done way back when is starting to pay off:

That's an interesting approach, changing the protein coat of the attacked cell rather than the attacking cell (which I think has been done in the past to engineer non-virulent strains for vaccines). Kudos and well done!
My idea had been to use targeted wavelength UV light in vivo via a modified dialysis set to reduce viral loading, but never proceeded with it.
Sooner or later, this plaque will be brought down.

Since you had unprotected sex in Civie land would you consider yourself careless and very stupid at that time?
Just asking.

I would say screwing ONE man in your personal life whom you love, is a far cry from letting random strangers you don't know dick about to unload in you day after day, but wtf I digress! This is a business that has boundaries and the MAJORITY of people here have common sense! I do agree with ya on one thing...let them kill each other if they want to lol. I don't much care as long as they stay the fk away from me!
Just because we are hookers does not mean we toss all reasoning out the damn window....ok, some do but not the ones who are not fked in the head!

London, I agree with everything you write. Having said that, no matter what our own behavior is, none of us knows for sure that the ONE significant other in our lives that we love isn't unloading with random high risk strangers day after day when we aren't there. There is no better evidence of that than this hobby and this board. Maybe yes, maybe no... but the best strategy is to assume that we all need to take care of ourselves and make our own decisions accordingly.
Cheers,

And when did that start? It's not mandatory. Women have the option to opt out. It is, however, required for newborns.
In Texas, testing is performed in the last 3 months of pregnancy unless the mother refuses. Unless I'm reading that wrong 'cuz there is another part of this article that says it is required...I dunno lol

Granted, but I can bet you any BF or Husband I would have certainly would not be banging as many as we do in the hobby...both guys and girls. You're reaching with that one hon. I don't date serial hobbyists, but guys who work 50 hours a week. It's a bit hard to be doing that much cheating, and most don't want to get caught either.
I don't have a BF...have not had bbfs in over 3 years, but I would not be here if I did either. I just think we take enough risks with bbbj and cim to not add more to the pot is all.
Why should we as providers have to stop offering what you guys love so much (bbbj) for the sake of a few azz hats who want to put everyone at risk? You do realize that's what you're suggesting by only worrying about yourself and not others? I have seen more and more women willing to take less and be more protected as of late, and I doubt it's the taste lol. Just be careful what you ask for.
