I dont think it has to do with age as much as it has to with experience. In my experience girls who haven't been in the hobby long usually think its a quick buck without any work when that is simply not true. That's actually the recipe for failure. Most the Verified ladies know that creating a great experience for the hobbiest is will keep them in business.

From my observation its usually the BP girls who have this "I don't have to work for it mentality". I always suggest newbies see Verified ladies before they try backpage. In this hobby the saying you get what you pay for goes a long way 85% of the time.

I can't see how the age matters. I have seen young GFEs, I have seen older (by your definition) who were not GFE. I gues maybe your point is a higher percentage of younger ladies may not be GFE. There are plenty of jewels out there of all ages. San Antonio is a great place to hobby. Trust me on that, I have been to many cities (hence the screen name) and SA is by far best for the money, although Dallas and San Diego are right up the in term of number of sexy, quality providers. It's really not hard to make sure you find what you are looking for, just do a little research.
