fwiw, event dates are usually early in the week so folks can meet/greet and then have time later in the week for "whatever." The forgoing is also somewhat complicated by the limited availability of venues (and venue capacities) later in the week.

Not always easy in SA or elsewhere, like Austin, to secure a venue able to dedicate enough space for a crowd that might be 45 to 50 people. Recall, we had more than 80 at the annual Hollow Weenie in October.

However, the planning committee has successfully explored having more frequent "limited" events (meaning smaller crowds, smaller venues) including both lunches and happy hours. Details regarding these are shared only with regular event attendees.
