How do you screen new mods?

How do you screen new mods? Do you take their reviews as golden or do you contact the ladies? Do you verify by real name? Do you look up their arrest records or sex offender registry? Do you put their name to an official form of ID?

My screening to see a client is super strict. I sure hope that screening for a mod here is that as well!

Screening is done totally by the owners.

I think the only people who can properly answer your fabulous question is the owners. Maybe a mod could forward it for you.

Makes me wonder if they are still screening the person for the last NY mod position.

I wonder how it is someone becomes a candidate for the position. I asked this question the last time there was a big mod shift but recieved no answer. Does someone have to have a gianormous amount of posts? I noticed the last time there was a mod shift a few people's post levels sky rocketed but I didn't know there was going to be a mod vacum at the time. And I suppose the process must start before we the members know the current mods are leaving because new mods are appointed almost immediatly. Maybe our mods can get the answer. Enquiring minds want to know.

Usually, a member makes an inquiry if they wish to be a mod. We have had openings basically since July. Sometimes the process takes a while, sometimes not. It is not our choice really on who becomes a mod. I am sure post count, or post content is more likely a factor. It takes a different breed to be a mod. You as an individual if you had less post count, it would be harder to get a feel for you as a person than someone with a larger post count. Your posting demeanor plays a large roll in any case.

Any one that wants to be a mod just send a PM to TBone and StC with a please forward to anyone one I missed why ya want to be one and why ya think you would make a good one. I'm sure one of them will tell ya what is needed to do or if they think mmm or not if you would/could be a mod. There use to be a form, or was that the old board errr I can't fine one. If I found a form I would have posted for others long ago.
