Granted, my shots aren't professional, but you have to trust the person behind the camera. Guys who solicit providers for trade, hmmm...just sounds shady

I can't stand people who use provider ads to market their own business, so if anyone contacted you that way....I would never use them. If they can't afford to pay for their own ads on eros or wherever and have to spam women who ARE paying to advertise, they are not the kind of person I would ever do business with. It screams "short cuts" to me. If you were all that good, why can't you afford a few extra bucks a month to market yourself? Nuff said. I have never had a real pro spam me for business.

Since, we are on the subject... one or two men mentioned have very tasteful pictures of not showing any exposed breasts or behind.
they said to leave something to the imagination and is more elegant..
thoughs on that ppl....

I think this solely depends on the photographic style. I think leaving something to the imagination is very good, or having creative artistic photos, but i think even nudes can establish that IF they are good. I only let "real" pro`s who work with real models and know how to do it do nudes with me, because i think otherwise it has the drawback to look "shady" and "cheap" very soon. Just my opinion of course.

That's all well and good so long as you don't wind up surprising your clients with something they should have known about before meeting you.

Def noticed more requests for form fitting clothed shots in natural settings (around the house, in town shopping etc) but they want the clothes to be more revealing than normal daily wear...a little tighter and a little more cleavage....makes them feel like it's not staged and brings a little erotic reality to them....

Yes this is such an interesting issue indeed. Nude versus non nudes. Sometimes to me it feels as if someone is searching for the "holy virgin" amongst the escorts, that shows by the preference for clothing or less sexy but stylish photos, or the preference for providers who don`t have a lot of customers. I think its funny, but something to play with on all ends and needs to be integrated in the marketing strategy. :-)

Its not like the photographer in question is doing "social work" for the poor models so he can do something good for THEM, no way

I trade all sorts of services for for other than cash payments, and I am damn good at some of those services. More to point, most of my photography shoots are for donation, amounts not even discussed till I have a post-processed finished product to show. Why? because I already have a day job and I love to shoot so I would probably do it for free. That being said, I would never ask a provider for a trade of services (but if some were offered who knows) and any provider that would consider such a thing should not pay out till the finished pictures are in hand.

I agree w/alot of the people saying no photo exchange, probably since in the many times I have done shoots the best thing working for me was a model release form exchanged on both parties,a comfortable professional setting and the female photographers were also a plus (males good also but the variety is awsome) and less often are there violations in photo distribution etc. even though it can or does happen. Also some photos I can not post due to the photographer's logo requirements when they are solely meant for previous print work I did etc...Good topic and all the replies are pretty helpful.I have to say I have had 2 EXTREMELY bad experiences in past that gave me the knowlege today on how to choose photo sessions, and the details involved.

I never paid a penny for any of my photos, all were TFCD or trade and I never had a problem with any of the photographers I work with. Granted I am a regular on MM, I think it is all dependent on how professional the photographer is. I never try to be too explicit in my photographs because I am not really extremely explicit in nature. you just have to do what you are comfortable with and you think represents your presence.
