Did Victor Ortiz get cheap shoted by Mayweather?? I think he did. Would like to hear opinion.

I really think Ortiz didn't deserve to be in the ring. I"m no Mayweather fan either but he was way over classed.

Victor's cheap shot head butt wasn't very classy either. Your supposed to protect yourself at all times.

Not a cheap shot. Smart move by Mayweather (I love how he glanced at the ref after the break and saw he wasn't looking--very veteran move). RULE #1 IN BOXING--protect yourself at all times!!

Ortiz way, way, way overapologized for the headbutt. He apologized right after it happened, he was contrite during the point deduction and was still apologizing when he got KO'd. What an asshole!! And he knows it--even his corner didn't bitch.

When's the last time you saw ANYONE in boxing kiss an opponent in the middle of a fight?

Was he trying to be cute, "Here, I'll kiss it and make it all better?" or what? The headbutt was not an accident, he launched himself up full body leading with his head and there are several video clips for people to review if they want to decide what they would have done as a judge.

Here's a nice still image of Ortiz's headbutt. Tell me looking at this he is trying to box.

"Mayweather, ahead on two scorecards 3-0 and the other 2-1, outlanded Ortiz 73-26." when the fight ended with the knockout.

I've never boxed. I'm good friends with a Golden Gloves boxer who said Ortiz touched gloves and at that point, you better be prepared to defend yourself.

Ortiz screwed up twice, first was the headbutt, second was lowering his gloves for no reason.

Just got back from the fight ... the buzz was evenly distributed about the headbutt and what some called a sucker punch. To me, Mayweather did nothing wrong, and as has already been pointed out, once you touch gloves, protect yourself until the final bell rings, or your opponent is laying on his back being counted out.

Mayweather v Pacquiao ... Cowboys Stadium ... can't wait!

I Agree wit Lazurus! Ortiz was getting whooped anyway, glad it ended early. Onto Floyd vs Pacqiou!

The ref sucked. Take his officiating license away. If there was a good ref in there 3 things would have occured: 1: BOTH fighters would have knew the timeout has ended and its fight time again 2: the ref would have been looking at the punches and not at ringside and 3: the ref would not have looked towards ringside with a "what do i do now? do i start counting?" face when Ortiz went down. I never saw or heard the ref say fight for sure, just saw the two players touch gloves. Ref was looking to ringside the whole damn time! So he said lets fight, but looked away the whole time?
Depends on the ref for me.

Think it was a cheap shot on both ends and probably a setup.
I believe Floyd already said something about a rematch, after Pacman if that ever happens.
It's a sad state of boxing right now.

Who is it that keeps bitching out of that match up?
