Default Nice Blue Springs lunch spot

I didn't know who to ask... I need some help with a nice or more upscale place in Blue Springs for a week day lunch date. Close to I-70 would be nice. A step up from the Chili's or Applebee's and such.

Any input?

I can't recall Blue Springs for being a destination point for an upscale dining experience. But, perhaps you should try Kobe Japanese Steakhouse.

Lol...no doubt..I just have a new friend in the area and wanted to treet her to something nice without driving a long way using up our time driving. I am not from the area and know nothing about it.

I would prefer something a liitle more intimate than a JSH. Thanks for the reco.

Anybody else?

I think Texas Roadhouse is a notch above Chili's.

There is not much in BS. Try I 70 West of BS near the Independence Center shopp South side of the highway you have Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Hooters, and Kobe Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar (not very good) and El Maguey. On the North side of the road there is Hereford House (recommended) On the Border Mexican Grill (Not Recommended) and Joe's Crab Shack (I would have recommended this several years ago, but the food has gotten worse, and the staff wants to be loud and obnoxious. I love sea food but I don't go to Joe's anymore. I think they got got a new management from the psychiatric ward.)

Out of all of these, Herford house would be the best - if they are still open. I haven't eaten in this area for three years.

Hope that helps.

JR

Hereford House is the absolute best choice of all mentioned, for a more upscale experience.

Or just go to McD's and let 'em supersize it!

In that area, Hereford House is about it. Rumors Steakhouse is just S on 291/470 too. That may be a little out of your range tho
