Default Can you smell it?

I went to bed with my windows open last night and woke up in a panic thinking my house was on fire. Once I determined my house was safe I threw on a robe and ran outside to check on my neighbors. There was no fire but a very thick haze is in the air. I finally turned on the news to find out the north wind is bringing the smoke in from the fire north of Houston. I'm just a few miles north of Sugarland and I can't believe its so strong here. My heart goes out to those who have lost their homes in the fire and I hope they get it under control soon.

This evening when the Sun starts down, just look to the Northwest.

That is not a rain cloud. It has the "consistency" of a West Texas dust storm.

Omg, yea the other day I smelled smoke and went outside my apartments and the air looked kinda grey hazy. I thought the same thing that one of the apartments might be on fire. It is amazing that the smoke has made its way so far.

I was watching it on the news. Reminds me of California.

Well it happened again today in my neighborhood. George Bush Park was completely aflame and the entire area was engulfed in smoke! Is this a sign of the times or what??
