Default Something familiar here ........

When I watch the Debt Debate and I listen to the Tea Baggerz group I am haunted by things that I have read, seen, or heard before...............

"Into the valley of death rode the 600"

George Armstrong Cantor...er um Custer at the Little Big Horn

Titanic

The Hindenberg

Helluva job Brownie

It was necessary to destroy the village in order to save it.

Mine is not to question why...mine is but to do or die

I'm a Ninja

Let them eat cake

The debt limit is just a fiction

Saddam Hussein has weapons of Mass Destruction

Mission Accomplished

Remember the Maine

54/40 or Fight

Hanging Chads

Corporations have First Amendment Rights

Job Creators need the incentives

You talkin to me?

Unconditional surrender

Black guys can't play quarterback

What we have here is a failure to communicate

Sometimes you just have to say...What the Fuck

To go where no man has gone before

You have your own water fountain

I don't think he was born here

You let one in and the whole neighborhood goes to shit

We were sent here to destroy the place and we are going to do it

I signed some pledges......what did they say?

Party and politics, and god before my country

Tell them we have lots of farm work they can do.

What time is lunch

What a bunch of clowns. They are not trying to address the problem, they are posturing so they can blame the other side when the disaster happens. Which won't really be a disaster, but that is irrelevant. They can't even agree on a plan which will do absolutely nothing. I think the Democrats are playing this a lot smarter than the Republicans, but that is all it is for either side. Just playing. It's a carnival sideshow. The politician who panders to his/her base the best wins a Kewpie Doll.

Throw the bums out, all 537 of them! Make them come home to find jobs in the economy they have either created or perpetuated by their actions/inaction!

Default Bad Things

COG;

Bad things are going to happen and you must know that, at least I have been giving you some credit for not agreeing with Bachmann and the crowd of no consequence?

Perception is and that is/has already screwed with my IRA for the 2nd time. GWB was in the seat the first time and now it is some wing nuts running loose in what they think is a lab and just want to see what will happen.

I am going to the bank, drawing out the max, heading to the Ozarks with my MRE's and waiting it out.

Lunacy, anarchy, stupidity, stubborness, ignorance, where did they find this gang of 87?

Wouldn't that be somethin. Imagine a national effort to catagorically toss every politician out on their ear. What a hoot that'd be.

I like this proposal

Congressional Reform Act of 2011

1. Term Limits. 12 years only, one of the possible options below..

A. Two Six-year Senate terms

B. Six Two-year House terms

C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms

2. No Tenure / No Pension. A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.

4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans
do.

5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay
will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the
same health care system as the American people.

7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American
people.

8. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective
1/1/11.

The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen.
Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers
envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go
home and back to work.

Don't know how dumb it was to do, but I rolled all my retirement funds into money markets until this is settled. Won't make anything on them, but at least they won't lose any more value.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a "citizen legislature" again instead of career politicians who care more about being re-elected than taking care of business?

Throw the bums out, all 537 of them!!
