Getting rid of Yao is only part of the problem. The dumbass GM Darryl Morey wanted him back. He also brought us Tmac, traded to get Steve Francis back, and got rid of Carl Landry among his many accomplishments. Perhaps we need to get rid of him... just saying

Most of you are full of cr*p. When Yao was healthy (which unfortunately wasn't often enough), he was the best center in the NBA. Period.

"Best?" Really? I will admit that he put up good numbers while he was on the court. I will also admit that he may have been AMONG the best for a short time. But even if we throw durability out the window and look at individual seasons, I think it would be hard to argue that he was #1 at any point in time.

In any case, his body has been begging to retire for several years now. He never reached full potential but was productive enough to not be considered a draft flop.
