Speaking of Knoxville, word is it's about as tough to get solid appointments as Nashville, so I guess the Tri-Cities during the races is a better bet.....just hope you were able to get a hotel room. People flock to the races around here like flies to shit, LOL

Nashville is hit or miss. I remember years ago when Nashville was awesome for business.

I travel to earn a buck. My Nashville regulars aren't even from Nashville. They drive from other cities.

When I'm home, I'm EXTREMELY low volume. I can't complain, I love my town. But do travel to earn money..

Plus, ever since that big bust 5 or 6 years ago, I've been VERY cautious.

Have you posted on other sites as well? In any case, I'm in Tupelo tonight with NOTHING to do... So Miss B... Let me know if you wanna get together...

I have lack of interest situation when I try to visit Knoxville or Birmingham and cancelled both recently even though get regular request asking when I will visit.
You just have to find the cities your good match for.
My upcoming tours for Baltimore and Hartford is almost completely pre-booked.

I'd love to stay closer to home myself but my demand has shifted.

Sometimes you gotta just bite the bullet and go. My fist Knoxville trip was bad bad..cept for my friend in Oak Ridge. Second was ok. Now I guess I have credibility in Knox. That seems to be the way with most places I think? I think the only touring girls with instacred are from Cali & NYC.

I do better in Huntsville than Bham but Bham is picking up. Next trip there will be good. Every time I go somewhere, well, I make regulars so sometimes it's that third or fourth trip that really pays off. New spot is working vacation - be a tourist and a businesswoman. Go to have fun primarily and the rest will fall into place.

I contact the people directly who have shown interest. Well before I post any ad anywhere or a schedule on my site. I get more solid bookings off that "personal touch" than with ads. Since I drive when I tour, I stop along the way. It takes me a day to get to Nash, LR or Jax, and a day to get back from Hville, but I'm not putting Jackson Tn, Water Valley & Oxford MS, Forest City AR on my "schedule" but I do stop and say "Hi".

TN recently got beat to death w/travelers. Too much local & touring for TN to sustain I think. Nash particularly is scared.

Yeah Megan, the biggest chunk of my income in Mphs is from visitors. You & Miss B do lunch, just watch her - she'll get you trashed and take advantage of you. But you'll like it.
