@jhende - Are you missing what I've been saying? Your only error is to think that tax breaks create jobs if indeed that is what you think.

YOU and I pay more taxes than Exxon or any of the mega corporations. The only people affected (and that is only slightly) by the Democratic tax proposal are those people who make over S250K on a single return per year or people who make over $500K per year filing jointly! And that increase is nowhere near Reagan era levels. It simply erases the Bush cuts that have been proven not to create jobs. Clinton's slightly higher taxes kept the economy ginning up many times the number of jobs Bush's cuts generated.

Therein lies the fallacy of cutting upper bracket taxes to spur economic growth.

That sir proves you don't have a clue about the tax code. Every business pays 7.65% of the payroll into the government. I'll will guarantee that number by Exxon is more than you make, let alone pay in taxes.
