Weiner Comes Clean
Anthony Weiner, (D, NY), just admitted that it was indeed him who sent the lewd picture via text to a young Lady.
After 3 days of lying about it, (amagine that), I guess the Democrat National Committee told him to come clean, his seat was safe.
Sarah Palin gets riled on for being ignorant, (there are those who get ignorance and stupidity mixed up), but I bet the National Press will never say, "Anthony Weiner is just plain stupid".
But, what do you call it when a grown married man sends a lewd picture of himself to a young lady, knowing that once something enters "cyberspace", it never goes away.
Just think. He is one of the guys "in charge".

He's an arrogant asshole who just got his legs cut out from under him. He's got a "D" next to his name so there'll be no pressure for him to resign. If it was a "R"...totally different story.

The spin is on. The story line goes something like ...
.. millions of people are doing it on the internet, so what's the big deal.
Multiple Choice:
1. Lying to recipients of "tweets"
2. Sending suggestive pictures to strangers
3. Deceiving their spouses and SOs
4. All of the above
Uh .... yes ... but the "millions of people" are not elected representatives.

Elected or not, they are human just like everybody else. We set the stage in America by making sex, sexual relations outside the marriage a big taboo. What do you expect? Even if he did admit it, the media would still burn him over it, and so would all the puritanical/hypocritical Americans, including the very people in political office around him, who are in all likely hood having sex outside their marriages, or engaging in some type of sexual behavior.
Was it stupid what he did? yes, especially knowing what will happen to him politically, he has much to lose. Does this mean he will lie about other things to the public? Not necessarily, but hell what politician hasn't lied to the public about something? We are making to big a deal over this whole thing IMHO

It's the World we live in.
Do keep in mind that Rep Weiner's first reaction was to lie out his teeth, and then opennly attack the source of the news report. He even went so far as to say he was hiring a profesional investigator to look into who "hacked" his tweeter account. All of this while he was lying about the entire episode.
There is going to be more to this. Women are already coming out of the woodwork, Weiner has been throwing a lot of rocks at people, and he forgot the "cardinal rule", if you live in a glass house, don't throw rocks.
The shame of all of this is he is he is a good example of what we elect as our Leaders. We do not elect the best and the brightest, we elect those that are willing to tell us anything we want to hear. Or worse yet, those that say that we will get something for nothing if we just trust them.
There is enough of this hypocrisy to go around in all the political relms, these people actually think that they are above all, and are allowed to play by different rules. This week, it's the Democrats. Just a few months ago, it was the Republicans.
It has been alluded, but not proven, that of all the tweets he sent out that contained things of a sexual nature, that there is a good possibility that one could have landed in an underage persons phone. If it did, his troubles are just beginning.
From all accounts, this is not over. I suspect in a week or so, he will reconsider and indeed resign. The deal is probably already being cut.

Seems people in position of power always think they have a different set of rules than us regular civilians. I don't think that will ever change until people start holding them accountable and start giving jail time to some.

Oh, I'm glad I'm not the Awful Liar Weiner,
That is what I'm really loath to be,
'Cause if I were the Awful Liar Weiner,
Everyone 'd be laughing his ass off at me.

Hoooray! Glad to see Tony the Tweeter finally come clean. And to those that don't think this is a big deal, you are wrong! Elected officials are prohibited from all manner of conflicts of interest, including moral terpitude (look it up, it's real). Yes, I know they are human and may potentially engage in lewd behavior, but that's beside the point. These types of issues go back centuries, and they are prohibited on behalf of elected officials because of the potential for blackmail. Back during the Cold War, the Soviets were masters at this technique. They would recruit a smoking hot woman to act as an undercover agent, have her get friendly with an elected official or high ranking military officer, then attempt to pump him for highly classified information. If the guy doesn't cooperate, she threatens to go public with his indiscretions (including embarrassing him and his family). More than one guy would cave, and give her information that was detrimental to national interests, causing harm to the general public. And if he/she is so devoid of character, then how can they possibly be trusted to handle critical issues? The answer is, they can't. That's why this clown has to go.
