I'm new at this and probably wouldn't be the best one to do this, haha! Only time I've seen a provider was out of escort service in phonebook yellow pages about 6-7 years ago

Even though my example didn't have one, I am usually pretty adamant about the photo containing a paper w/ the date or something similar. If she posts fake pics, she can easily email you more fake pics. Something has to time stamp the photo.

There is some truth to that but sending a picture to someone is not illegal. Refusing to send a pic doesn't get them out of hot water if they are talking to LE.

I know but few weeks back one provider was posting that she was followed by UC LE in the Odessa/Midland area so that make some providers on their toes!
speaking of which, is that why there are barely no decent providers in this area?

I totally get your point. I simply don't look at things through the provider point of view. A provider getting popped or investigated doesn't mean I have to put up with BS providers. I'll do my screening and they will do theirs. There is a happy median somewhere.

While your example of the difference between the pictures was a good one, I politely disagree with what you did in posting the picture she sent you on eccie. A lot of women are not looking to bait and switch; they are trying to protect themselves from negative attention from friends, family, even strangers if the community is small enough, as well as LE (who I've heard pass out photos to hotels of "known" providers.)

This woman didn't represent herself honestly, but that was more due to extra weight than not being pretty. Your example could have been just as useful had you cropped her face out of the shot, and I hope that you'll edit your post to do that.

However, this is an excellent reason why I don't email or text men back photos. I would consider it in the rare instance of sending a body shot with a sign, but you just proved why I won't ever send anything with my face in it.

No one but me is going to have my best interests at heart when it comes to protecting myself from negative attention from LE and civilians alike.

I also want to add that depending on the woman's desire one way or the other towards reviews or staying UTR, for those that don't mind reviews, this is why up-to-date reviews are important. I understand why some gentlemen don't want to post reviews (and I completely agree in some cases as it sometimes boils down something very intimate and fun into crass writing homework) but for all the lurkers out there who don't want to post reviews.... if you LOOK at reviews to help YOU decide on a companion, then it's not fair for you to take and not contribute. Some people have very valid concerns about posting, but there's ways around that.

I'll give you that point too. I am not in the habit of sharing pics. I forgot to use the private tags on that one. I'll also be honest though. She was bait and switch. So I don't feel sorry about that one. I haven't shared any of the other photos I have received. I also wouldn't share any photos of legit providers.

She used fake pics. Period. While weight gain and dated photos are also a problem, this was straight up bait and switch.

You have reviews, you are p411, you are on Eccie. I wouldn't need pics to verify who you are.

That is a fair point but doesn't contradict the idea of hobbyist screening providers. Someone like you is not the target. I can read your review from 5/26 and get the info I need. I don't hate BP but there are a lot of fakes. I will screen them to verify they are the same person as in the pictures. I will screen them to verify they are not using pictures from high school when they were 85 lbs lighter. I'm glad this topic created dialogue and generated a response from you. You weren't the target however. Good stuff though.

ah, BP..... There is a lot of dross in searching for a provider on BP.
My question: why still do it? I know the area is sorely lacking in good
variety, but I would assume there's still quality providers available, no?

Beth, the problem with ELP is there ARE a couple of great and verified ladies based in town. There are many many others I call drive-bys. They often times are "managed" and advertise on BP for a little while, ripoff as many guys as they can sucker in with B&S pics and ads...then move hit the road when the shit starts hitting the fan. The guys are looking for ladies like you, verified/reviewed Eccie advertisers that are willing to visit ELP.
Its a pretty remote location, several hours drive from Midland/Lubbock/Albuquerque/Tucson and not many of the good ladies travel out here. I will point out that Southwest flies into ELP from most other TX cities, usually pretty cheap!

You're BP protocol is a very good idea. As we all know BP is like a box of chocolates. . . .

I have not used BP in quite a while, but the times that I did it was like playing Russian roulette. If we all do this, "time-stamped pic verified" process or ILGA for short, we might notice a change.

I for one will be doing this from now on.

CC-- you guys aren't that far away, only like four+ hours from ABQ. That's not too bad. If it's an untapped region (from what it sounds like) it sounds like ya'll need to start acting like a co-op, vote for providers you want to bring in, and then each of you email (so long as you're really willing to schedule) her to get her down there. That's how I wound up in Shreveport-- I had two guys REALLY want me to come up from BR and from there I met several other lovely gentlemen.

However, I drive, so it makes detours like this possible. I decided to do it when I'd heard from three guys on P411, but it wasn't until one guy really addressed me coming out SOON and told me "look, you're not going to get a response from the guys unless you give them specific dates on eccie," that I took his advice and so far, I'm pleased with the results. But then again, I'm pretty easy to please. If I get 7-10 quality appointments from ElP, Mid/Odessa, and Lubbock I'll be a happy camper and will come and visit ya'll three times a year as a regular tour.

I do want to add my thoughts on two aspects that made me hesitant to book here--
One is that one provider said there's a lot of last minute calls, which I'm not a fan of just from the basis of screening. So far, I'm slowly getting bookings for this week. I just hope it's not a town with a high rate of cancellation. I don't get the impression it is, but then again...haven't ever worked there before.

The second thing is safety. El Paso has a bad reputation. I wouldn't mind hearing ya'll chime in on this though it's worth a different thread. The P411 gent sent me this when I asked him about that, and I really appreciated his detailed response:

"I can’t stress this enough. This is the honest truth. El Paso, Texas is probably a lot safer than most of the areas you frequent. For reals. People hear stories about Mexico and then assume El Paso, Texas is dangerous. It isn’t. Google El Paso safety. We are the second safest city that has a population of 500,000 or more. Again, it’s assumptions and rumors that give El Paso a bad name. You mentioned you were in Albuquerque, correct? Albuquerque is far, far, far, far more dangerous than El Paso, Texas. Again, don’t take my word for it. Don’t go by rumors. Google it. The drama in Mexico literally stays in Mexico.

Now, to be perfectly honest, people assume that we are safe because of the Fort Bliss influence. I am not trying to be a hater but that is not true. I work in the occupational safety and health field. Fort Bliss recently tripled in size and population. Military employees and their families brought STDs and gangs with them. It is kind of ironic. El Paso is unjustly considered dangerous because of Mexico. When the truth comes out about how safe El Paso is, credit is given to the Fort Bliss influence. When in reality, Fort Bliss is the cause of what little problems there are in El Paso (in regards to STD and crime). Again, I am not a hater, I am just passing on facts."

The crime rate per 1000 is higher here in Lubbock than it is in El Paso. Hopefully more folks will take the chance of going to El Paso and enjoying a wonderful city!
