Default Ga Ga for Gaga, but don't know why

I love Lady Gaga, but don't know why. Her lyrics confuse me, she makes no sense. Her style is ugly and out there, but something about it is very unique and interesting. Her videos are great quality, yet always leave me scratching my head...
What was that?
What was she trying to say?
I don't know if I'm too dense or if she is just too far out there to "get."
Here's her latest.

Now this I kind of understand. She wants to be famous or infamous either one. And she wants revenge on her boyfriend. And I like how the head lines are tongue in cheek - Lady Gaga's on top, when she's on top of her boyfriend.

I happen to love the Paparazzi song! She is a little out there for me ( I'm just getting old), but I do admit to enjoying her music.

Nicole if your getting old, I'm getting old too (we are about the same age).

Like most good songwriters, poets, etc most of their lyrics or writings come from a specific source for them. However they write it without details to give people their own interpertation allowing it to be more relateable to their own life.

Lyrics to Bad Romance: http://www.directlyrics.com/lady-gag...ce-lyrics.html

Now here is a really in depth analysis to what they think the meaning of the song as well as the theatrical video. http://vigilantcitizen.com/?p=2737

Totally makes sense by the way from all her songs. She is clearly selling out. Her music is definitely the typical "club thumping" beats that people get intoxicated. Now the funny irony here is that she admits selling out to the masses and the industry. However most of the people in clubs probably have no idea what the song is really about. They think as most do and that it really has to do with people who fall into bad love, but its still desired.

So to answer your question on why you love it. Because Lady Ga Ga is outlandish and theatrical. Everything we love and hate about the hollywood and the music industry. Her music sells out to what we love. In spite of all her sell out to make us love her, she is unique in her sounds and her voice has a very captivating sound. So the gibberish we hear "rah rah rah rooomance" doesn't matter so much because her vocals are captiviating.

Well once again my 2 pesos. Now where is my change?

I'm goo-goo for GA GA! I love her, her style, and her music. I have her ringtone on my phone and my call tone. Bad romance is my fav! I am different and I love things that are not "normal".

I like her because she's simply doing her own thing. Sure, she's a little odd at times (okay, a lot), but that's what makes her her!

i'm a little monster (gaga fan) myself. bad romance is in my phone too, nikki. i don't understand her, i overstand her =) but then again, i'm a bit odd myself

ps
the viligant citizen (the link above in xperiment post) thinks there is an occult message in EVERYTHING. if you go to the home page here are a few article headings you will see:
The Occult Symbolism of Sherlock Holmes
The Occult Roots of The Wizard of Oz
Beyonce’s Sweet Dreams – Occult Mind Control
Jay-Z’s “Run This Town” and the Occult Connections
Transformers 2: NWO Agenda and Occult Symbols
Rihanna’s Disturbia: A Song about Being Possessed by Evil
Princess Diana’s Death and Memorial: The Occult Meaning
Occult and Prophetic Messages in Rihanna’s Umbrella

sooooo, i wouldn't take anything on that site to seriously. they seem to believe that the entertainment industry as a whole is 'out to get us'. it's like conspiracy theory on crack

My thoughts:

I think she is an avant-garde musical artist that manages to be accessible to a general audience, because she has incorporated that candy that youth and night clubs so love. She is beyond a doubt a visual artist as well, she embodies her artistic expression. A musical Andy Warhol.

However, she will only have her 15 Minutes of Fame.

She's flavour of the month. Unique and interesting, but I personally feel she doesn't have enough depth to make her timeless. She's not going to be remembered as the icon figure Madonna is. She'll be a Boy George. She doesn't have the resonance to carry her though multiple generations.

She's a great writer, she's been in the music business a long time going as far back as The New Kids On The Block. She's had lots of practice so her work is well polished. She practiced on Britney Spears, Fergie and the Pussycat Dolls.

It's been a long climb to the top for a burlesque dancer.

I do respect her career as an artist and wish her well.
