Greatest voices of all time (male)
Where are the ladies? Anyway I don't think Tiny Tim is going to make this list.
Freddie Mercury
Tom Jones
Sean Connery (since we've gone beyond singers)
Francis Albert Sinatra
Dean Martin

My choices
John Lennon
Mel Torme
Bing Crosby (get hold of some of his early jazz stuff - phenomenal!)
George Jones (the most expressive instrument in country music)
Marvin Gaye
Paul Rodgers (at 50 he sounds like he did at 20)
Dave Grohl (not a classic singer - but has range and expression)
Al Green
Merle Haggard (the early years - a great expressive voice - see below)
Michael McDonald (some of his stuff bugs me, but he has an instrument)
George Strait
Burton Cummings (from The Guess Who)
I once saw an old Johnny Cash TV show where Merle Haggard was a guest. Merle proceeded to imitate various country singers - wow! If you closed your eyes, you'd swear it was Marty Robbins or Ray Price.

Ok, a little adult supervision is necessary. Some of you have gotten it right.
1. Frank
2. Mel Torme
3. Willie Nelson (Yes, really)
4. Ray Price
5. Nat King Cole
I just recently heard some of Der Bingle's early stuff. It was fabulous! What happened? His later stuff is awful. Bobby Darin could have been great, but he got typecast as a bobbysoxer, but he was Frank caliber. Same with Paul Anka.
Honorable mention: James Taylor, Jose Feliciano, Tom Petty, Paul McCartney, John Lennon and Ray Benson

Say what you will about our President, love him or hate him, but when it comes to speaking, his voice is terrific. When it comes to singing, however:

A few alternatives to the list....
Classic '80s/'70s MJ or maybe even Johnny Cash? Still love the voice of Colin Hay from 'Men at Work', but that's a whole new category/list for another day.

Can they carry a tune a capella or acoustically? That being said....
Paul McCartney
Bruce Springsteen (check the video for "Brilliant Disguise" - one of the few well-performed non-lip syncing in a music video)
Scott Stapp
Tony Hadley
Jon Anderson
Kevin Cronin
Neil Tennant
Dan Fogelberg
Donald Fagen
Daryl Hall
Simon LeBon
Freddie Mercury
Paul Rodgers
Paul Hewson
And for the old school - Frank, Dean, Sammy, Mel, Tony, Bing

Under consideration; James Earl Jones (I wonder if he ever cut an album)
I can't help thinking about William Shatner's albums but has to be another list.

You only need to get a couple weeks in Psych 101 to understand that people preoccupied with condemning homosexuality are actually uncertain of their own sexual identity. Sad.
Back to topic. I forgot to add Gary Puckett of the Union Gap.
